Following the release of the documents, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a wide-ranging investigation into child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including a probe into his possible links to Russian intelligence.

While the files offer an insight into Epstein's contacts with high-level Russian figures — some of which have intelligence ties — and show that he tried to arrange a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, they do not contain any direct evidence that he worked for a foreign government.

However, Epstein's behaviour and actions, which included setting up video cameras in his home to record people in compromising situations, have raised parallels with the methods employed by Russian intelligence.

This led to mounting theories that he collected material on the rich and powerful to blackmail them, material known as "kompromat" in Russian.

The decision by Governor Albert Bryan to fire the A.G. came just days after Bloomberg News revealed that Ms. George in her capacity as V.I. attorney general had filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase — the largest bank in the United States and the world's largest bank by market capitalization — without first informing Governor Bryan of such a major action, said a person with knowledge of the matter.

The lawsuit claims JPMorgan Chase facilitated convicted felon Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of women and girls, alleging that the bank should have known about Epstein’s illegal activity and as part of its anti-money laundering procedures, should have reported their client to authorities.

George accused the bank of turning a blind eye to the sex trafficking operations that went on on Epstein’s private island in the USVI, Little St. James.

His central argument is not that Jeffrey Epstein was innocent. Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida in 2008 to state prostitution charges involving a minor. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted in federal court in 2021 on sex trafficking charges. Those facts are settled.

What Tracey disputes is what he calls “narrative inflation.” He argues that a documented criminal case expanded into an all-encompassing international child-trafficking mythology without credible evidentiary support. He points to the outsized role of certain high-profile accusers and plaintiff attorneys in shaping public understanding, noting that some claims evolved over time and that federal prosecutors did not call every prominent accuser to testify at Maxwell’s trial. He stresses that while some of Epstein’s victims were minors under Florida law, others were 16 or 17, above the age of consent in many states though not in Florida, and argues that collapsing statutory offenses into sweeping allegations of organized child-trafficking rings distorts the record. In his telling, there is no substantiated proof that Epstein trafficked minors to a roster of global elites or that the more lurid claims circulating online are grounded in evidence. “The documented crimes are horrific enough,” he says. “You don’t need to turn it into a grand unifying conspiracy theory that explains the entire world.”

While I'm all for the exposure and punishment of those who got on board and benefited from the Epstein train, how strange at this very late stage of the relevations game that the focus still remains on two British individuals!

But hey, I see how it keeps the focus off all the file-named Americans that did the same and are likely guilty of the exact same if not far worse crimes than the two Brits, but have avoided exposure because of the power and influence they have at their disposal to keep the focus off them and the finger pointing solidly overseas.

Oh America.

With the document dump, and AI technology, famous people are now being implicated in this mess. With AI pictures of them imposed in pictures with Epstein.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s team demanded she receive “beauty lighting” for her House Oversight Committee deposition and ordered a blue-paneled backdrop from a specialized shop so that it didn’t appear as though she was in a “hostage situation,” a source familiar with the situation told The Post.

Clinton’s team had meticulously labored over nearly every visual detail of her begrudged sworn testimony about late sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, keen on ensuring that she looked as flattering as possible.

To that end, her team had a staffer sit in her spot before the deposition and bark out commands for tedious adjustments on the set at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center in New York, the source said

Goldman Sachs' departing top lawyer, Kathryn Ruemmler, will testify before the U.S. House Oversight Committee, her spokesperson said on Tuesday, after having resigned over links to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Documents recently released by the U.S. Justice Department showed Ruemmler accepted gifts from Epstein and advised him on handling media inquiries about his crimes.

"Ruemmler welcomes the opportunity to appear before the committee," the spokesperson, Jennifer Connelly, said in a statement.

Both Clinton’s were questioned. President of Harvard and at least five people have “resigned” and/or been asked to step down. I think the investigation is ongoing.

If true, good for her!
:)
But do keep in mind what The Post and other news sites have also posted:

“The Clinton team chafed at the GOP-led Oversight Committee’s insistence that the deposition be conducted behind closed doors, wanting a public hearing instead.”

I doubt she would have had access to “beauty lighting” in a public hearing.

"The destruction and removal of petroglyphs and cultural sites at Zorro Ranch is deeply troubling, yet not surprising considering what has come to light about Jeffrey Epstein," Joey Sanchez, chair of the All Pueblo Council of Governors, said in a statement. "These sites hold profound significance as part of the living history of the Pueblos across the Southwest, reflecting the enduring connection between our people and the land."

'Upsetting but not totally surprising'
Epstein's Zorro Ranch property in southern Santa Fe County was over 7,500 acres, including part of a petroglyph-rich geological formation called El Crestón, where Native Americans etched images into basalt over centuries. He also leased around 1,200 acres from the state for grazing.

Far from the most serious accusations lodged against the sex offender and financier who died while in jail in 2019 on sex trafficking charges, the files nonetheless help clarify Epstein's relationship to the massive swath of New Mexico land he owned with little scrutiny for over two decades…

The state Department of Justice and a state House commissionrecently announced investigations into the ranch. Sanchez said the Pueblo council would "welcome more thorough investigations" and would continue to monitor the situation and seek opportunities for dialogue.
"Moreover, we recognize that harm to the land is intrinsically linked to harm to the body," Sanchez stated. "For our communities, the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women underscores the critical need to safeguard people from predators like this."

I doubt she would have had access to “beauty lighting” in a public hearing.
I think she was more concerned that, without her negotiation of these terms, Republicans would have tried to use unflattering lighting, background, etc. to make her look bad. Can’t say I blame her. I wouldn’t trust them either. JMO

Women in politics in Washington DC these days spend a great deal of money on face lefts, cosmetic surgeries, fake nails, hair extensions, wigs and wardrobe. Most of the women in the Trump administration certainly do. I understand that obtaining the “Mar a Lago face” is quite expensive.
