If the location of his discovery is correct the Bronx River is a fairly small meandering river. The location shows he was found in Scout Field County Park. Pretty well wooded but probably trees aren't budding yet. I wonder if he was hanging out at the park. The building on the property, the bronxville Boy Scout Cabin is an historical building (if it's still standing) since the county was looking to raze it. Google map says it'll open at 4pm on Monday. It's possible the deceased is homeless and entered the building for shelter, I guess.

From the way he is groomed and also his clothing being nice and not layered I do not think he was homeless.
Runaway, likely. But nobody who was homeless for more than a few days.

He has such a distinctive apperance, African admixed, biracial or maybe Afrolatino. Clean, nicely groomed and very young. Cannot understand why nobody seems to miss him.

What's missing for me are the eyebrows aren't a match. The deceased are larger/higher at the inner corners. Almany's are more filled in at the inner corners. JMO.

Is there an update on this case? There seem to be some reports stating he is Almany Rodriguez, but nothing official.

There's been an interesting turn as he was caught on a Tik-Toker's Ring camera the day before he was found deceased. (not sure if I can post, but it's searchable). He seemed to be intoxicated and confused. This is the image of him that was captured.

His namus is up and i havent seen any updates :/ That ringcam photo is so useful! Im not surprised that he was intoxicated when/before he drowned. Very sad that it seems like he was looking for help or looking for someone...

There has been another Tik Tok update and a new name has been suggested (not sure if I can share it, as there is literally nothing out there suggesting he is missing, please tell me if I can.)

The name has been passed on to police. Apparently he is 18-years old from Elmhurst, NY.

Hopefully this is it, what a very sad case.

According to social media, Almanys boyfriend reported him missing and is also very actively searching for him. Almany had some mental health issues. But other than in the big hair pic, Almany does not look much like the PM. And given that his boyfriend and possibly also family are searching already for weeks for Almany, LE is either slow or the UID is not Almany.

The dude on the ring cam is definitely the UID. He looks intoxicated or mentally ill, poor dude. Does not seem to know what he wants to do. Certainly not a break in but some sort of aimlessly wandering around in the building

This UID has now been identified by the Tik-Toker who originally encountered him on the ring-cam, she made contact with his mother who had, in fact, tried to file a missing person's report.

He is not Almany Rodriguez, although there are many similarities between them, even down to height.

Almanys's case is also sad. I believe he had autism and ADHD. His boyfriend, who was the only person looking for him, also recently passed away I believe.

According to various social media posts, he was identified as H.L. , 18 years old. The lady who caught him on her Ring cam got a tip by someone who knew H.L. He gave her the contact of H.L.s mom who identified her son. According to the mom, she reported her son missing in February but LE told her that he is 18 and they wont actively search for him.
Very sad.

The Resolved cases for NY did not go up but the Open cases went down by one case. That's weird, considering he's been named on social media. Maybe it will go up at the next update.

Yes this is very very sad. It really just makes me wonder how many other unidentified people in NYC have died in the SAME borough they have lived but remain unidentified????Omg

It’s so sad that his own mother tried to report him missing but they would not take the report.

Iam wondering if Humberto never showed up on the woman’s ring camera and she put him all over the internet.. How long would he of remained unidentified????

Thank god for the woman putting him on the internet and everyone sharing.
Rip Humberto my heart goes out to his mom.

I was under the impression that that was a myth, or some thing that used to exist, but didn’t any longer. Similar to “ waiting 24 hours to file a report”

I would love to know why his mother was not allowed to file a missing persons report on him especially given that he was autistic, was known to have mental health problems, and was missing.

I’m glad he has been identified, but I am also disheartened to learn that his mother did her best and reported him missing and law enforcement refused to accept her report.
