I can't believe someone isn't missing this teenager. Nobody on Black and Missing that seems to suit, no ruleouts in Namus. How disheartening. The sooner NY picks up the pace with genetic genealogy, the better.

The ring on her ring finger is strange. Married, promise ring, dead mother's ring? The tomboyish clothes don't really strike me as a young bride or the kind of girl who'd wear a promise ring. I know this is just speculation, but could it be mom recently died, she kept her mother's ring, went into foster care, and absconded? NY doesn't keep good records of foster care and probably will have burned any records that were still on paper.

I'll probably be doing a newspaper deep dive on this.

It is a generic Christian ring, one can buy those everywhere. Her clothes do not strike me as specifically tomboy, they're fairly standard for a teen in this decade. The grunge style was very popular, I think most of my classmates wore similar stuff.
