Observations:
- Found in a basement. PMI: days...Found on October 11, 1989 (average high 18 degrees Celsius, Low 10 degrees Celsius)
- Not recognizable - Decomposing/putrefaction (PMI days) It seems quick, for a few days, considering the temperature and her found in a basement....any thoughts?
- and they know the color of her eyes

It doesn't add up.

So either this woman was killed far before a couple of day's (purification) and the fight happened but was not related or bad witnesses memory) or she was kept in a fridge and dumped there (eye color would have gone), or she still had a recognizable face (days, eye color known). IMO

On top of that she was mentioned as white/Caucasian so where is the Spanish coming from?

The T-shirt could be a red herring, something bought in a thrift store or a souvenir, but St. Thomas is the chief island of the U.S. Virgin Islands, in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It lies 40 miles (64 km) east of Puerto Rico.

I checked Namus on missing persons from the Virgin Islands, but nobody would fit. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
