Do we know which side of Shore Parkway his body was found? There are two parks with the same name on either side of the road. One is large with multiple sports fields for baseball, football and soccer. The other is much smaller with tennis courts and a children's playground.

Not sure, the map on NamUs has the marker in a completely different spot nowhere near either of them.

The coordinates said the 2000 block of Shore Parkway so I put that in my query. The park is there but which one?

Calvert Park didn’t sound right…. Looking into the name and geography of the park, it is apparently named Calvert Vaux Park, after the onetime partner of park planner Frederick Law Olmsted. Vaux designed structures and parts of Central Park, and many other public spaces in NY.

The park is composed of several parcels, and many aren’t adjacent to each other. Link: Calvert Vaux Park : NYC Parks

Given the sprawling nature of the park, the GPS coordinates are probably the best method of figuring out where the unfortunate person was found. The GPS location is very close to the parkway. This is not a well known park outside the area, so I think he is probably local.

The clothing brands might have helped for ID, but they’re not listed.

That map shows all the parks not just Calvert Vaux Park. If you click on the map you can see that the other green areas are labeled as other parks.

You’re correct, but apparently there is a small section of the same park across the road, although it isn’t labeled.

Bumping up. Can anyone find this case on Doe Network? Or any new information about it?

Who was this poor man?

Bumping case up. Unfortunately I am not finding any missing men that seem like potential matches.
