4-Year-Old Child Who Was Reported Missing Found Safe At Day Care Center, Mother Taken Into Custody

According to police, the woman seemed erratic and her story changed several times.

As cops began to search for the child, the woman accompanied officers to her home but refused to open the door. Officers forced the door open and found a 12-year-old boy home alone.

The boy told police that he does have a 4-year-old sister, but he didn’t know where she was.

The woman was taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child for leaving the boy home alone.

Shortly after noon, police said the 4-year-old girl was found at a Harlem day care center in good health.

It’s not clear at this time how the child got to the day care center.

Mom Forgets Dropping Girl at Day Care, Reports Her Missing

It was after discovering the boy that cops found the missing girl at a home day care. The mother dropped the girl off there and then forgot that she had done so, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the case. She was being questioned by police Wednesday afternoon.

This is so bizarre. Drugs? Mental Illness? How do you forget that you dropped your child off at daycare? This one is weird.
