NY NY - Camden Sylvia, 36, & Michael Sullivan, 54, Manhattan, 7 Nov 1997

This is one of the most incredible cases I've ever read... Is Rodriguez really guilty? I imagine that if that were the case, I would have a hit man to be able to carry out the commissioned deaths... unfortunately I believe that we will never know the truth in this case and I feel sorry for Sylvia's mother who will never have closure...
wherever you are sylvia and michael rest in peace

They were paying a controlled rent of $300 per month, when the landlord could be charging 10x as much or selling the building. They were also in a rent dispute with the landlord for not turning on the heating. Camden and Michael were a thorn in Rodriguez's side, so he obviously wanted them gone and to send a message to the rest of the tenants. It is hard to believe that he did this without any help, but I read somewhere that he had ties to the mob.

Btw, just because Camden and Michael were allegedly last seen jogging, doesn't necessarily mean they disappeared during the jog. They might have come home, only to be faced by Rodriguez, who invited them into the back office to "discuss" the situation, where they were set upon.
