Found Deceased NY - Carl Weaver, 77, Schoharie County, 10 Dec 2017

According to the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office, Carl Weaver, 77, is from the town of Seward. Deputies say neighbors called police after not seeing his pickup truck at his home for two days.

WRGB reports that Weaver's vehicle was found on South Worcester Hill road in Jefferson (Delaware County) on Wednesday.

According to deputies, Weaver had told people at the Cobleskill McDonald's that he was going hunting.

Officials say forest rangers have been searching various areas where he was known to hunt.

A photo of Carl Weaver has not been released.

On Friday, Pachan said there were 96 people in the search party from the NYS Forest Rangers, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Schoharie and Delaware Sheriffs’ offices, NYS Federated Search and Rescue Team, officers from the NYS Office of Fire Prevention Control, Office of Emergency Management from Schoharie and Delware counties, as well as multiple fire department volunteers. He said he expects more people to join the search party during the weekend

Thanks for keeping up with the links, Dali. I don't get on WS usually until the wee hours. It's sad they've yet to find any signs of Mr. Weaver, and search crews ( including helos, firemen and women, State Police, local sheriffs, etc. have been out there in this very cold weather, searching hard. It's very slow going, with a few inches of snow, hilly and forested land.

Ah! I think I see what you mean. I've been wondering why the pages look different on my browser when I often click a FB post link here. Thanks! I'll try to do that in future.
