Regardless of who the child is and/or who the parents are she still is Rosie's responsibility. I have a feeling this isn't the first and won't be the last attempt by Chelsea to get away from the dynamic that is Rosie.

I never much cared for Rosie, but the final straw for me was when she was suppose to adopt a baby awhile back, when she found out the baby had health problems she backed out completely. Same birth mother of her other daughter, and surgery could have most likely fixed it. Just sad, the whole thing, I hope that if Chelsea did go off her meds they will get her into a doctor to determine if she can possibly come off of them, lower the dosage or if simply staying on them is her best option. No matter what I just hope she is getting proper medical care, and Rosie realizes she only has a small amount of time left before Chelsea's an adult who will make her own decisions.

Chelsea will be 18 in a few days and I think she'll choose the same option she just chose and the only reason Rosie has insisted she's mentally ill is because she wanted cops to overlook the age of consent which is 17. How ironic.

Lots of experts here.....who probably wouldn't appreciate someone else telling them how to raise their children. Having judgements made about you as a parent by total strangers would suck, I would think.

Excuse me, but Rosie is the one who by choosing stardom has shown us her personality, snide remark, temper, negative attitude, and IMO pompous a$$ inner self.

Rosie has always been willing to take on any person on any subject that she disagrees with. So parents disagreeing with how she raises her children would not be a subject worth her consideration, IMO. It is a minor issue.

Whatever one's opinion opinion Rosie is, this 17 year old has bigger problems than Rosie being her mother.

Drug addiction runs in families ....and based on this link, her bio mom sounds like a strung out wack-a-doo!

I wondered about Kelli too. In the link posted above it states that Chelsea was adopted before Kelli and Rosie became a couple, and that since their split Kelli shares custody of the four kids. Perhaps Kelli legally adopted Chelsea at some point.

A later article I saw said it was a therapy dog she'd had for six months, so I think the first article just didn't have the info correct.

My theory is when you see your child making what could be a bad decision, you do nothing to make it easier for them. I am not a fan of Rosie, however she is Chelsea's mother and the birth mother needs to stay out of this family's problems.

I do not blame Rosie for cutting Chelsea off and not turning over her SS card or birth certificate. My theory is when you see your child making what could be a bad decision, you do nothing to make it easier for them. I am not a fan of Rosie, however she is Chelsea's mother and the birth mother needs to stay out of this family's problems.

I don't blame her, either, but withholding the birth certificate and SS card seems silly. All she has to do is apply for a copy.

I suspect it won't be long until Chelsea finds out the grass isn't greener at birth mom's house, and hopefully she and Rosie can work through it. Sadly, Chelsea's birth mom may be a gold digger and won't stick around long since Chelsea has no money now.
