Rosie O'Donnell said Tuesday that her 17-year-old daughter is missing.

Chelsea O'Donnell was last seen a week ago, the TV personality said in a post to her website. She said the girl "stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention," and was last seen with her therapy dog.

Police were looking for Chelsea O'Donnell in the New York suburbs. Rosie O'Donnell has a home in Nyack, police there said...

Rosie O'Donnell 's 17-year-old daughter Chelsea O'Donnell has been reported missing.

The 53-year-old television personality revealed the heartbreaking news in a blog post on her website today titled "CHELSEA O'DONNELL MISSING." The post said that Chelsea was last seen on Aug. 11 and authorities have been searching for the famous offspring since Sunday.

"Rosie O'Donnell's 17 year old daughter, Chelsea O'Donnell was reported missing," the statement read. "Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for her in the Rockland County area since Sunday, August 16. She was last seen Tuesday, August 11. She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women's grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. The DailyMail... referring to article in The National Enquire... Bio Mom lives in Wisconsin now...

Deanna was stunned to reconnect with the daughter she claims she was forced to give up in November, when Chelsea managed to find Micoley's father - her biological grandfather.

Bio Grandfather contacted his daughter ...

Over the past few months, Deanna and Chelsea have been in contact through Facebook and text.
It was during these exchanges that Chelsea allegedly revealed she is having problems with her adoptive mother.
'Chelsea has told me she had issues with Rosie,' said Deanna to the Enquirer.
'I believe Rosie has abandoned her. Since about the age of 12, Rosie basically shipped off Chelsea to different boarding schools.'
When asked why she was given up for adoption, Deanna said she told Chelsea the truth.

I'm not so sure broadcasting to the world that she is mentally ill is going to be all that helpful in finding this teen or in getting her to return voluntarily.

She's still considered a minor so I assume they will return her to her legal guardian.
