I think about Colin a lot, too. I will be headed that way on Tuesday. I wish I was not so old. I'd go searching.

I would love to search but where to start.... ? Also, after reading so many cases on websleuths, I'm pretty leary of being alone in any wooded area.........

If there was foul play, then you'd probably need ground penetrating radar; you'd probably need to learn the name of the bully and search on the bully's property. (I'd wear Kevlar if I were you.)

True, that.

Sure wish this case was still in the news...is LE even still actively investigating? I would sure like to see an update from LE!

Where is Colin?

I 100% believe this was foul play.

Justice for Colin!

A bump for Colin...well, this bump is actually for his mom on Mother's Day.
May she find her son and find Justice!

Where are you Colin?

Bumpity bump bump for Colin.

Where is Colin?

Who has the answers?

Where does the investigation stand?

What happened to his belongings? (backpack)

Why were his license and pipe found on the side of the road?

We had a VI in this case...where did they go?

What does the police report say?

What happened at the party?

Where the heck is Colin?

I think about his brother too, (especially when I write a list of things to get) remember him saying since Colin's disappearance, he goes to the next town to get groceries...THAT stuck with me.

Feeling deeply for anyone trying to carry on without knowing if someone they love is alive or dead.

Looks like Adirondack Daily changed formats but the stories are still there if you search:

Troopers still work missing persons cases

Fleishman said the investigation also remains open on the search for Tupper Lake resident Colin Gillis, who was last reported seen around 1:45 a.m. the morning of March 12, 2012, walking

between Tupper Lake and Piercefield.

“We continue to work this case, as well as the Karacay case, and continue to pursue leads that come in. These are all active and we still get calls concerning the cases and continue to speak with the families and the original witnesses.”

At the time of Colin’s disappearance, he measured 6 feet in height and weighed approximately 170 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair in a short, crew cut style. He was last seen wearing red colored, Nike Air high-top sneakers (Size 10); Levi boot-cut jeans (Size 34/32); and a medium, white with blue stripes American Eagle brand V-neck shirt. On the night he disappeared, Colin likely possessed a red/black L.L. Bean reversible coat and an orange L.L. Bean backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Lewis at 518-873-2750.
