EAST GREENBUSH — Police are searching for a missing 64-year-old man who was last seen at his Monday morning at his house.

David Burden drives a maroon 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. The New York license plate is DNG5638. Police said Burden may be in possession of a .20 gauge shotgun and ammunition.

Authorities were notified around 11:30 a.m. Saturday that a vehicle was in the the river at the boat launch of Schodack Island State Park. When pulled from the water, it was found to be the 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 owned by David Burden, who was last seen Monday morning at his house, according to East Greenbush Police Detective Michael Guadagnino.

Burden was not in the vehicle and his whereabouts remain unknown, Guadagnino said, adding that the search for him is ongoing. A shotgun reported to have been in Burden's possession when he disappeared was recovered from the pickup, Guadagnino said.

Missing East Greenbush man's truck found in water

Burden is still missing, but divers located the 20 gauge shotgun he believed to be in possession with inside of the truck.

Investigators said it is unclear how long the vehicle has been in the water, but the investigation is still on-going.
