Circumstances of Disappearance: Dennis walked out of his house after an argument with his mother and has not been seen since. Mrs. Campano remembers that he wasn’t even wearing shoes when he walked out in a fit of temper. He had been home from the hospital for two days after being treated for emotional problems and the family was just beginning to think everything would turn out all right.

An erratic winter storm with a gumshoe gait and capricious moods dumped heavy snow and rain over the metropolitan area yesterday.

It gnarled traffic, caused extensive flooding in coastal areas, stranded suburban homes behind snowdrifts and created no little confusion among professional and amateur weatherwatchers.

The National Weather Service—which since Friday has issued, canceled and reissued warnings of heavy snow here —last night said that the snowfall totaled up to five inches in the city and up to 16 inches in parts of northwestern New Iersey.

Flurries Today

By 11 o'clock last night the snow had tapered off to flurries and no additional accumulation was expected. But the Weather Service said that light flurries would continue until midday and that winds of 30 to 40 miles an hour with gusts up to 55 miles an hour, would cause considerable drifting.

Above the line, snow accumulations totaled four to five inches in northern Queens and the Bronx, six inches in northwestern New Jersey, 10 inches, in Rockland County and more than a foot in some sections upstate, where skiers have been; trekking to the slopes since the start of the three‐day Washington's Birthday weekend.

He went missing just blocks away from where Denise Sheehy went missing in 1970. The Neighborhood had a lot of kids on heroin and LSD at the time. I wonder if he was involved in any of these things.

I came across his mothers obit. Dennis is mentioned in the obit. I heard from my neighbors mother that Mrs Campano spoke about her son all the time and waited until her death for him to come back home. Broke my heart when my neighbor told me this.

On June 26, 1972 the remains of a white male were found near an overpass in Clinton. It is believed that the man was either a pedestrian or hitchhiker and was likely hit by a car. He is estimated to have been 16 to 20 years old, 5 foot 8 inches tall with around shoulder length brown hair. It is also believed he was traveling from St. Louis.

I was looking at the drawing and his features resemble Dennis. His eyebrows look similar and his mouth with the thin upper lip and thick lower lip.
