A popular YouTube star Desmond Amofah, who goes by the name Etika online, has reportedly gone missing after posting a cryptic video claiming he was suicidal and apologizing for leaving behind a "stained legacy".

It looks like they found some of his belongings near/on a bridge:

Police began searching for any sign of the Brooklyn man the same day he vanished, prompting investigators to make a startling discovery — while canvassing the Manhattan Bridge Wednesday night, cops found Amofah’s New York State driver’s license, along with several other cards and his wallet.

They also found his cell phone, a black and red Nintendo Switch and a laptop bag believed to belong to Amofah, which contained a pair of boxers, a shirt, shorts and headphones, police sources said.

Police investigating the disappearance of YouTuber Etika have found a body in New York City's East River.

The body has yet to be formally identified. Police say the investigation is continuing.

If you go to Youtube and type "Etika I m sorry" there's his last video done shortly before he ended his life. This is really sad.

I saw the video that he recorded when the police forced entry into his apartment because he had expressed suicidal thoughts. This was last fall I think. it's sad that he was never able to accept the help that was offered him.
