Body found in Inwood Detectives search for clues to apparent murder - Herald Community Newspapers

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the apparent murder of a 37-year-old woman, whose partially clothed body was discovered on the shoreline of the Mott Basin Inlet in Inwood last Thursday night, police said.

Investigators said they believe the woman was the victim of foul play and was murdered at the scene, and the body may have been decomposing on the shoreline for several weeks.

The badly decomposed body may have been on the shoreline of the basin for about two months, Laursen said. It was well hidden by the wooded area, detectives said.
