After recently listening to a podcast about William Richard Bradford, curious if anyone else sees the resemblance between an unidentified woman that he had a photo of and Ellery Jane Doe? Not sure if the timeline can fit Bradford, but thought these photos looked similar enough to be looked at by others. Bradford’s murders were in California in 1984, but he had SA crimes in Michigan and Florida in years very close to 84’.

''Twenty-six of those women were believed to be alive, sheriff's homicide Capt. Ray Peavy said. He said the other two are believed to be a homicide victim and a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for years, but no additional details were immediately available''.

Gosh one would hope since 2006 they've identified more, and hopefully alive.

Was she ever tried for Janice Donohue? She looks incredibly similar.

She’s been compared and ruled out as being Janice Donohue. They are currently on round 3 of dna testing for Jane Doe.

Unsolved Chautauqua posted earlier this year that Jeanette Marcotte has been ruled out in this case.

I still think she is Austrian/German or possibly Northern Italian/Swiss bc
1) her expensive / gold dental work means wealthier Western European nation -rule out Eastern European before the wall fell- also her upscale clothing and being able to afford traveling across the US (if she picked up the notepaper herself)
2) her style of writing on that note looks like German or Austrian writing- IF SHE WROTE THE NOTE IT RULES OUT AMERICAN it’s a decidedly European way of writing with crossed 7s and capped 1s.
3) her clothing looks to be from those areas and the camisole was worn as an
undershirt- very very typical of people from those areas. Lots of the above vacation
in Italy and could have bought the undershirt in Italy while vacationing there
4) blood type of Western Europeans

Western European birth rates in countries listed above were low after WWIi and many families had no children or just one child. I think that she was traveling in the US or Canada or possibly married someone from the US or Canada who disposed of her.
I think her family may have been elderly/ died out- very few relatives and no idea she was killed - simply lost touch with her. Few if any aunts/ uncles or cousins, no siblings, nobody to put up an alarm.

The child she had is the real mystery. Alive? Already a young adult by the time she was killed? Still in Europe?

While I generaly agree with what you said, what exactly do you mean by Western European blood type? As far as I know, ABO blood types in east and the west are roughly the same

You are right- I may be reading too much into this re blood type.
A slightly more prevalent than O in the areas I think she’s from based on her clothing and the handwriting on the note. Just grasping at straws.

I am so happy to read that they are still working on her case. Some time ago I sent them a possible match that I think works / seemed very possible. Behdokht B. Pyke. who disappeared from Florida in the early 80s. In my opinion, she fits Jane Doe perfectly, even the scar on her neck.

She is originally from Iran. But the family may have immigrated to Northern Europe. As a European myself, I know that especially in the 60s and 70s, many people from the Middle East sought a better life in Northern Europe. And that could explain why they have not been able to find a match closer than a 6th cousin. As far as I know, the East is not known for DNA databases. And the fact that they have found markers from Holland, Belgium and Germany would make sense if she grew up there or maybe even was born there.

I myself come from the same western part of Europe and the fact that I can get a DNA Match from a cousin I 3,4,5th every week from when I took a DNA test. tells me that she cannot be descended from the western part of Europe.
