Warren Co. Sheriff's Office looking for missing Long Island man

The Warren County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing man.

His name is Erik Martin Font.

He's 33-years-old and from Long Island.

Deputies say his car was found abandoned on Buckbee Road in Queensbury Wednesday morning.

Family said they had not heard from the 33-year-old since before Feb. 2.


Font is described as 5’11” and approximately 170 lbs. with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 518-743-2500.

Queensbury is about 4 hours north of Long Island. There’s been a lot of snow and ice in upstate NY recently. Wonder if it’s a place he is familiar with or has ties to. Google Maps

This guy is missing in my town. The LE here is not really the best if something happened to him other than a hiking accident. A hiking mishap is what I’m assuming happened to him if he was in that area. There is a pull off people like to go off to hike from there. But this are is getting more and more crime so it’s not past what’s possible. There have been multiple accidents this winter with hikers so most likely unfortunately that’s what happened and they didn’t send out search teams enough to find him. Because again. This area is awful. I can’t even get police to patrol people speeding down my street that’s in between two schools. thanks for making this post through. It’s nice to see someone care about what’s going on here. LE posts no info.

I’m not sure what the weather was like on that day but as long as it’s not raining or snowing heavily people do hike around here. Recently there have been quite a few hiking accidents at least since the beginning of this year there have been. There has been zero update in the area about him though.

Plattsburgh is pretty far from here. Queensbury. So If they found his car in warren county I don’t know how he would make it that far up to Plattsburgh. He allegedly parked on a road that I know has a trail head on it near a connecting road. I think the end of butler rd is close to the pull off.

I live in Queensbury and have seen zero about this man. At all. Nothing since the ORiGINAL post about them finding his car on buckbee rd and that he has been missing. And the sheriffs have not upstate’s their posts and statements about him on their actual website and google has nothing about him being found. That’s why I am so confused as to why he has presumed found when there is no information saying that. Other than the Facebook posts linked here that I can’t access, that doesn’t even come up on google, there is zero other sites beyond this thread stating he has been found. If you have images of statements made by credible sources that are for some reason not on google please please post them on here for me to see. Because this man being missing like this is worrisome. Mainly because there seems to be little or no effort to find him or get the word out here. If he was a pretty blonde like the petito girl, would people be more prone to care? I just want his friends and family to get peace. And if he has already been found I’d love to know the facts. ♥︎

Have there been any more updates? i went to college with Erik, he was the year above me and I ve been trying to find out more information about this case to not avail. There is so little info!
