The New York County DA is Cyrus Vance Jr. He's been in office since 2010.I hope this all is NOT political. Isn't there a new DA ?

Hi I have been lurking on this site for a while now, and I joined a couple of months ago, but this will be my first post. Ever since I read that Etan had an 8 year old brother, I have been wondering why wasn't the brother walking with him to the bus stop.
Yeah, I'd wait until some MSM confirmed this. I don't trust the Daily Mail, it's a tabloid.
F.B.I. agents were seen escorting Mr. Miller to his apartment in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon; a law enforcement official said investigators had tried to elicit information from him.

Sounds like investigators were unsuccessful in their attempt to glean any info from OM.
Its politics are odious and a good many of its articles exploit middle class fears, I agree. A little sifting, though, and one can find much of use in posting at a venue like WS; its reporting of criminal matters has, I've found, been quite accurate. (Its headlines do tend to pump the volume up a bit: the cadaver dogs hit on "the stench of death," for example.)The Daily Mail is really a tabloid rag.
Ramos acknowledges that he is a pedophile.
IMO, another major problem concerning Ramos and this case is that he also sounds certifiable to me. Anyone know if he is a diagnosed schizophrenic?
'I'm under a lot of pressure. I hear voices. I'm lured to these boys.’
“They gave Ramos a 730; a psych exam, and put him in Bellevue. I didn't hear back from the ADA for a long, long time so I finally called and they said, ‘We mailed subpoenas to the victims' home and they didn't show up so we dismissed the case. We released (Ramos).’ I said, ‘Are you kidding me?‘

Just wondering. Not that I think the family had anything to do with Etan's disappearance, because in this case I don't, I have just been wondering about this tiny little detail. If Etan knew he would be alone, and told someone like Miller, that would explain things.

At least it's not the Sun. (Or, to toss in a bit of cockney rhyming slang, the Currant Bun.)
Wow - did you even click the link before making that statement ? The Daily Mail sites New York Magazine and The New York Post in their Etan article. The photos used are Associated Press, Reuters, ABC News, AfterEtan.Com and Patz Imaging - Etan Patz own Father of Patz Imaging. Among others. Their articles are in depth - and comparable to what is reported in MSM. More of a collaboration - instead of going to 3 or 4 different sites - the same information - with high quality pics + maps and sometimes new information - or information long forgotten is included. Very in depth. Not embellished. The Etan article is frequently updated as well. All of their online articles are this way. They actually site sources - unlike other so called MSM. I realize the paper version of The Daily Mail has a reputation. The online version is quite something different. And different staff runs the online version. If you read the article and spent time on the site and found discrepancies as to what is being reported elsewhere - then I sincerely do apologize. If you never bothered to read the online article there before making that blanket statement - that is a problem to me. I spent a very long time reading the article last night - then uploading pics to share here. All from Daily Mail then I linked to the article. So many photos there of the family and Etan himself. I wanted to share with anyone who cared. The missing posters the Father made himself 33 years ago - and the brother and father holding that photo are on Daily Mail - and some photos not easily found were all in one place. The Daily Mail article.
The esteemed broadsheet the Guardian - one of my favorite reads - once was pocked with so many typos it was nicknamed "the Grauniad" by the satirical magazine Private Eye.I love The Daily Mail. They have a lot of typos sometimes, but they seem to always have the most up to date pictures that are usually very clear and a good viewable size.
