GUILTY NY - Evanna Tranberg-Bennett, 12, died, parents failed to get her medical care, 6 Dec 2019 Probation

Too many things don't add up. The lack of sadness about Evanna's death. Reluctance to get medical care for Evanna. Evanna's sad expression in many of the family pictures. Was Venuska harboring ill will towards Evanna? Jealousy? Competition for her father's affection? V claims she and her three sisters were sexually assaulted in foster care. Was the abuse really inflicted in foster care or is she subconsciously reaching out to disclose abuse she and her sisters endured at home?
V was an under aged child when she became pregnant by a man 11 years her senior. Same age difference as Heidi and Steve.
Is there any proof Evanna and her younger siblings Bella and Tosan are in fact biological children of Heidi and Steve? Why would a DA request DNA analysis? Why the concern about social security numbers and birth certificates?

As for Evanna's illnesses..... Surely a normal maternal instinct or older sister's natural instinct is to protect and take care of but was there any true concern about Evanna's illness, swollen calves, fluid draining from her legs (all extremely painful symptoms of kidney failure)?. They claim they research everything. Then computer records show they indeed researched medical terms like liver failure. Then they claim it was for some unknown man who is "like a brother" to Heidi but they didn't research Evanna's illness?? An unknown dying man who smokes pot lives with them on and off for months during the same time "everyone in the family is suffering from a terrible virus"? They had 16 people living in the house with several sick little kids and then they bring in a dying man? Who just happens to leave pot laying around when he leaves the home? Where did he go? When did he leave? Who is he? Will the DA require him to testify?

Why was Heidi wearing a sheer nightgown as they were preparing to bring Evanna to the hospital? Wouldn't a natural mother's instinct want to be with her sick 12 year old daughter going to hospital? Do phone records show they called for a car ride? Why did they let a a little girl bloat so badly that EMTs thought she was pregnant?

Why is Steve the one who talks to police and hospital staff all the time? Why does Steve insist on making news about the corruption of DSS each time his children are removed? Why were Steve's kids removed 3, 4, 5 times? Was Steve in foster care as a child? Was he abused? Where are Steve's parents? Where is his family? Why aren't they involved in any way? Why no mention of them in all their posts? Why aren't they petitioning the court for custody of Steve and Heidi's youngest children? Are any of Heidi's family trying to help?

There seems to be scam after scam going on. A constant need to be famous- taking on the fame of others-first the real film producer Steve Bennett. Then attempts to copy the Kushi's by opening their own version of the Kushi Institute called "House of Macrobiotics" which states on their FB site it's "a wellness center and retreat" even though they Now deny it was a business. Were they trying to copy the closed down Kushi Institute? Then when bad press came out about Evanna suffering from malnutrition and vitamin deficiencies, did they shift their story to Steve suddenly self proclaimed " world's foremost critic of macrobiotics" Which is it? A "House of Macrobiotics" or a world famous critic of macrobiotics?

Every time they are confronted with something, they shape shift. Sociopaths do the same thing. Lack of remorse. Lack of empathy. Cast blame on everyone. Play the victim. No wonder it's taken a DA a year to bring charges. The DA must have more than enough evidence to proceed. The pain Evanna suffered as her kidneys failed her throughout her life must have been extreme. In 12 years they couldn't figure out why she was so deathly skinny with an abdomen that bloated at various times? Was she ignored. Neglected? Abused? Did she suffer? She had fluid weeping from her legs. That poor poor little girl. Even in death she is not honored. They did a go fund me page to raise 5K for her funeral but never had one? It's all about Steve and Venuska. The DSS and court systems failed in Mass when the children were returned different times. It appears the NYS DSS and DA, LE are willing to stand up and fight for the safety of all the children in the family despite the bad press the family is trying to put out there. Finally the pictures show Vensuka at court hearings for her parents with her children who were just returned. Isn't NYS facing rising covid cases and she brings her little children out in public to court? It's all for show and the exploitation those children. And the constant threats to sue for defamation and yet they clearly defame the DA, LE, Law guardians, DSS Commissioner, DSS workers-those with real careers who can and should in return sue the family for defamation.

I’m guessing that Evanna was most likely ignored by almost everyone in that house. The four oldest sisters are adults, Venuska already had her own children, so I doubt they were super interested in spending time with a 12-year-old. Then, there was 12-year-old Evanna and 11-year-old B., these two girls were most likely glued to each other and probably ignored by everyone. There was also a boy, 8-years-old at the time, and being the only son in the middle of so many daughters, he was probably getting a lot of attention from Steven. The youngest girl was 5, so she probably played a lot with Venuska’s kids.
So, there’s obviously a pattern of medical neglect dating back to when the adult daughters were minors, but Evanna probably got it worse because a) she might have been complaining about several symptoms for a long time and they clearly never addressed it, and b) she and her close in age sister were most likely ignored by the family.

It's been nearly a year since Evanna died. In all this time, you would think they'd "at least" have a FB tribute to the life of Evanna... full of smiling (posed but pretending not posed) photos, a short video, anything all at celebrating Evanna. Did I miss it? Instead, it seems they have a FB full of (well, you know).

The Kushi Institute (which the TB family were involved in, and which the TB family are still actively trying to sell property from, after the sudden closing of the KI, after incurring a $50k debt and an ugly mark on the KI reputation, with one of the members of the Kushi family being accused of rape and kidnapping on the KI property) has a youtube page with videos of instructors and past students of their wellness courses explaining their lifestyle, goals and experience at the KI.

Admittedly, I was searching to see if SB was one of those instructors, or perhaps a board member of the KI, but no dice there...He seems to have had his identity scrubbed from the net....how is it there's no record of him anywhere except some lousy local papers about acting class!?

Incidentally, I found a video the KI posted about pregnancy and raising children in the macrobiotic diet, and other particular lifestyle choices that seem to be as important/run hand-in-hand with the TB family's views, which I can only surmise, come from a long history in this particular macrobiotic community.

- Home birth- The KI appears to encourage home births, just as the ones that took place in the TB family, and the children of VTB. Two of VTB's children could have the last name Kushi, like their father. So I do agree, it's strange they also use the TB surname. However, with SB purporting himself to be the ultimate authority on macrobiotic diet, perhaps he wants to hide the connection between the families all together and won't allow his grandchildren to take on that last name?

Home births also afford families the opportunity to have their children 'off the record'. No social security number, no birth certificate, no vaccines. Then further on down the line, no public schooling, no government issued identification, no bank accounts, no college education (which requires some basic information, such as a state issued ID card, vaccine records etc.). For all intents and purposes, this family 'didn't exist' in 'the system' until the parents had their first incident with CPS after one of their young children lost consciousness in a grocery store.

This is my best guess as to why the children were all given DNA tests and vaccines after being remanded into state care. They didn't have any birth record or paternity established prior to that time.

- Vaccines- Macrobiotics students learning at/with the KI and those following the macrobiotic lifestyle stay away from vaccines. They find them to be 'unnecessary' and full of preservatives and additives. Followers of this macrobiotic lifestyle believe this diet will prevent them from becoming ill, even going so far as to say it can prevent and even cure cancer, so why would they need vaccines?

Both of the founders of KI died of cancer, long after losing their own daughter to cancer. This, to me, shows huge disregard for the health and gravity of the situation befalling their own child, and persistence in believing that pseudoscience will cure them, to the point of their own demise. I can't help but draw parallels between ETB being very ill with a painful and prolonged illness, left to die while her parents raged on about the healing effects of their macrobiotic diet and lifestyle. If the TB family were this entangled with the KI, and closely followed direction from the top, they could have very well believed their daughter's death was deserved, or self-caused, or whatever awful mental gymnastics people use to justify not seeking medical care for their critically ill child...


Also interesting, there's a food instagram the family runs, which used to be a lot more active in 2016-2017, where every post used to be hashtagged with #macrobiotic. There's a huge gap in posts from 2017 to now, but in all of the most recent posts (posted within the last week), the hashtag #macrobioitic has entirely disappeared from their wall of hashtags. Only after Evanna's death, those tags suddenly disappeared. It seems as though they must not want to give the impression that their daughter died while the family observed and kept record of a strict, nutrient-deficient fad diet.

It's been nearly a year since Evanna died. I don't remember if the teen pregnancy information came from this thread or from the Facebook page, but it sure did come from Venuska. Same thing about the "aborted fetuses", I think it was mentioned in the post that has pictures of the house "trashed".
The funny thing here is that we didn't even know anything about Evanna or this family when the first thread was started in December of last year. She totally exposed herself and her family when she posted on that thread and made a point to share their Facebook page. Evanna's name was not mentioned up until Heidi and Steven were charged, the family was never mentioned either in MSM until just recently. She or whoever it was really posting from that family exposed themselves and for what? All of them were charged, their kids are in foster care.

I don't know about Venuska having 2 children while underage but I did find information on the family's FB page where Venuska wrote that when she herself was in foster care a DSS supervisor forced her to breastfeed her brother. No dates were given but IMO that meant she was underaged at that time. By extrapolation if she was lactating and able to breastfeed her brother she had likely given birth.

In another post the family claims the county wants to pressure Tenji by scaring him with an old statutory rape charge in MA in order to validate the grandmother's alleged lies.

Venuska's oldest child is 9 and would have been +/- 1 during the 2012 DSS case in MA. Venuska's 26. Depending on birthdates V could have been a minor at that time. Or there could have been an earlier case where she was sent to foster care. Or there could have been another child involved who is not with the family. We can only speculate based on the family's claims and posts.

IMO there is some connection although no guarantee that Tenji was involved. But according to her own writings it's pretty clear that Venuska was a minor and lactating when she was in foster care, assuming her allegations are true. MOO.

I think it's hard to notice when children have minor eyesight problems, it's easier to notice when those problems are more serious. I believe that teachers are great on noticing when children have eyesight problems.

My first grade teacher told my mom that it would probably be worth it to take me to a doctor to check my eyes because I was squinting my eyes a lot when looking at the classroom board. My mom did take me to the doctor and I had nothing, my eyes were perfect.

So yeah, it's probably even harder to notice when a child might have some minor eyesight issues when said child isn't going to school or the doctor.

I would guess that they would be extra aware of possible eyesight issues on their children since at least two people in the house do have glasses, but this family is just... allergic to doctors, I guess.

His parents seemed to make quite a stink about his getting glasses while in foster care. They actually claim that two children now need glasses, caused by something they don't explain other than to say it's DSS' and foster care's fault. IMO they may not have the capability of understanding heredity.

Oh and BTW they're at it again, claiming members posting here are Columbia County officials who have read the case files. If only. They don't understand that we here on WS live for the release of files, especially in cases where a caregiver is responsible for the death of a child. In the cases that I have followed here at WS over the past 11 years, most of the information and knowledge came from MSM and "document dumps" as we called them. "Sleuthing" the web for other information follows.

Most of the main players involved in these cases have/had a "media spokesperson". On some occasions the family of the accused, (or the accused themselves) presented themselves in front of a camera to state their views.
There has been very little information released publicly from the State or County in this case. Hopefully, during a trial more information will come forth.
Amazingly though, we have an abundance of reading available! There is an almost daily 'novel' on Social Media from the family.. feeding information to the public. And most, if not all of MY OPINIONS derive from what the family themselves has placed in the public domain.
