I guess it’s just that I’m from a small community too, and I can’t really picture people in my area getting so involved in something revolving around outsiders (bc the TB family are outsiders, even if they’ve lived there for a while). We certainly have some local crazies, but AFAIK we don’t have an equivalent to “start your day with yeh”.

I wish we didn't have him as well. I still don't know exactly why he does what he does.. We're not all like that. Honest.

I really don't get it. For a year the TBs have been claiming to have irrefutable evidence of corruption by county officials and departments, threatening to disclose all during the trial. They said the media will be "ravenous" to see all this evidence.

They claim they have proof of the EMTs killing Evanna, proof of the DSS commissioner going on "dates" - their word not mine - with their 12 year old daughter, proof of a drunken attorney conspiring with the judge, yet ended up pleading guilty to child endangerment in order to "resolve" things so they could move on?

Why didn't they exercise their right to a speedy trial and get down to it then? Even with delays caused by the coronavirus they could insist on a reasonable court date. They've been okay with leaving the kids in DSS custody while they ranted and raved about "calumny" instead of actually working to get the kids home.

They were given a golden opportunity to finally bring their evidence to trial and show how they were victimized.

It may be a misdemeanor but it's still child endangerment. That conviction will follow them for years to come. Just wait until they try and make the same accusations the next time DSS has to step in to protect the kids. Assuming they ever get them back that is. MOO.

I’m hoping that the younger TB teen/adult with no children are reading here. They need better representation by the law. IMO, they should be represented as children obeying the only thing they knew and their lives should not be destroyed by their parents actions. This is so messed up. I hope that CPS is able to go against the plea deal to keep the little kids safe. What kind of parent or lawyer agrees with throwing their own kids under the bus for the same conviction?


Could someone explain what Torres has to do do with this? He’s the father of V’s two youngest kids.? Does he live in the home? Why would he be charged the same?

Right? Such hypocrites. Whatever they do, those very... creative? names of them will show up connected to this case whenever someone Googles their names. If they ever try to get a job outside of their bubble, that will be the first bit of information that will show up about them. Trying to rent a house? There it is.

Ryan Torres was one of the adults that lived at the house at the time of Evanna’s death. Apparently, there were other adults living there at the time, they’re lucky they didn’t get slapped with a charge too. He was a parental figure to Venuska’s kids, he’s the father of two of them.

I wonder if the family will continue to pursue their claims that people connected to the case participated in on-line defamation of them. They did say that they had proof and the truth would be revealed in the end.

Or, maybe part of the agreement to plead to lower charges was that they stop making accusations against DSS and the EMT worker? Imo

Because they're right. They rather worse outcomes before they admit their way might need to be tweaked.

Several posts I wrote in response to a comment these are people like "preppers". Always the alpha male, kids don't interact outside of family. Lord forbid a "regular " friend may tell them others don't live that way. Always an argument someone's civil rights are being violated. Never comply.

And everybody gets brainwashed and that's that. Cult. This has truly not been about macrobiotics. Heck, seaweed and some daikon.

Honestly they remind me more of them polyamourous groups that live together. More cult cra#. Not all. Of course. However sadly I've witnessed that too. Kids had no friends outside home. Women in and out at same time. It takes a village attitude.

well we all know the “proof” is a lie. Because they made accusations of WS members being locals, which isn’t true at all. So the rest of their “proof” is 99.9% fake too. Jmo

Maybe they should have gotten a written agreement with DSS about what would happen before pleading guilty! Your only leverage as a defendant is forcing the state to go through discovery, pre-trial motions, and trial. Once you plead guilty your leverage is gone.

They needed three independent defense lawyers: HTB & SB, VTB & RT, and the three adult TBs. This is going to be an absolute mess.

I suspected that they weren't going to be able to keep it quiet! The whole SEVEN of them pleaded guilty. And Evanna will never come home, due to their neglect. I hope and pray that the DSS holds their feet to the fire, and has the entire family going through counseling as well as parenting, nutrition and CPR classes. This is not going to fair well for any of them as non-compliance is a common theme with this family.

I hope the littles have had the opportunity to make some Holiday sugar cookies, with real royal icing too!

Yes, they might be referring to a visitation schedule. The children will probably have some kind of structured visitation before the parents are given custody again. They may even start with supervised visitation and then move to weekend visits or something like that.

I don't think CPS is going to make it easy for them. If the children are evaluated and therapy is recommended, the family will have to cooperate.

Since they are the ones who claimed the children are being abused and traumatized in foster care, I would think they would welcome psychological evaluations for the children. Imo

IMO the family will not be happy to undergo any psychological evaluations of themselves or the children as the results are out of their control. Unlike their prior claims of "evidence" that never materialized in court any psyche evals will be admitted into record.

Oh, I'm sure they won't like it.

But if they are claiming the children are being physically abused, what better way to find out? It just makes them look like irresponsible and neglectful parents to claim abuse and then resist any type of counseling for the children. Imo

I would think that since the children have been in DSS custody for a year, that a psych eval and therapy/counseling have been ongoing with them. I believe the adults who have since pleaded guilty are the ones who may be required for psych evaluations....and they are crying about themselves having to go to counseling. Just my own thoughts

I hope and pray that the DSS holds their feet to the fire, and has the entire family going through counseling as well as parenting, nutrition and CPR classes.

Since the family thinks they are just “too cool for school,” I doubt classes or counseling would change anything. But I’d like to see it forced on them and be a fly on the wall.

A lot of people are a little obsessed with this case... healthy discussion is one thing, having your life revolve around a case is just unhealthy and weird. Not talking about anyone here on WS though.

I don’t care about this family. I care about Evanna and I care about the innocent children that deserve way better than their own family. As for the adults, I don’t care and I’m glad their pathetic page is gone.
