During the bungled procedure, Hoyos-Foronda – who claimed he was a doctor in Colombia – administered lidocaine to the victim through a syringe, causing her to go into cardiac arrest, according to a complaint filed in Queens Criminal Court.

One wonders what kind of doctor placed the butt implants in the first place.

Who goes to a doctor's HOUSE for a surgical procedure, anyway?

Who goes there? People with dreams of “fixing” themselves but no money.

Maybe one day society will allow people to feel comfortable in their own bodies and not feel driven to pursue unrealistic standards.

"Whenever circumstances change in a case we re-examine the charges," the DA's office said about upgrading the charges after Peñaloza's death. "This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and we cannot provide further comment."

Attorney information for Hoyos-Foronda was not immediately available. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 28.
