This is in my neck of the woods. This part of the county is mostly small towns with volunteer fire depts. we read about accidents like this but hearing that it just happened, and hearing all the sirens, seeing the first responders racing there, gives it a whole different feel.
I just heard it is the bus driver that died. So very sad. Several others are critically injured.
My heart goes out to every student on the bus, in that school, and all the parents.

ETA…my thoughts are also with all of our first responders tonight. They are truly amazing!

So sad for everyone on the bus, of course, but for their community as well. There was more than one bus traveling to the band camp. The other busses returned home.

Speedy recovery to the injured passengers and condolences to the families who lost loved ones today.

The communities here work together. We have some truly outstanding heros in our midst.

The bus driver was not killed. The two deceased victims were the 43-year-old band director and a 77-yr-old retired teacher. Both were women.

I’ve lived in Farmingdale my entire life. My children went toFarmingdale High School as well. Thank you to all of the first responders and hospital staff and police officers that did their best to help yesterday. The whole town is heartbroken for the teachers who passed away and the injured.
