Excerpt from Daily News, 25 Jan 81, pg 36. Flight jacket was inside the van, which according to other articles was a luxury van (valued at 12K), which was "gutted". His wallet was later found, somewhere on Staten Island, in a "wet" area where it had been for some time where it was mailed and turned up at a St. George post office. Other articles of the time indicate LE thought he may have either committed suicide or been murdered, with people breaking in while he was asleep inside.
