Public search to be held for missing Bay Shore grandfather

Police say Frederick Eaton suffers from dementia.

The retired Suffolk County detective is believed to have taken off on foot from his home on Reilly Street on Monday night.

He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with the letters USA.

Public search on Reilly Street at 11 a.m.

Officials say a Bay Shore grandfather who was missing for 48 hours has been found inside an abandoned car. Police say Frederick Eaton suffers from dementia.
