Details of Disappearance

Muhammed was last seen in the vicinity of Edgerton Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway in the New York City borough of Queens at 9:00 p.m. on January 1, 2015. He spoke to his daughter that evening about pursuing a career in medicine. He has never been heard from again.

When he dropped out of sight, his family initially thought he was on one of his frequent trips overseas. He emigrated to the United States with his family in 1971, and he traveled frequently, sometimes to his native city of Lahore in Pakistan. His American passport has not been used since December 2014, and it's unclear whether he possesses a Pakistani passport.

None of Muhammed's relatives in either the U.S. or Pakistan has heard from him since his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.

Jamaica father, 77, has been missing for three years

“When we saw him in January 2015, it seemed like he was going to go for one of his trips abroad, so it was assumed that he was not at his house,” said Muhammad. “We were under the impression that he was out of the country as he usually was during harsh New York City summer and winter months. But he never returned to visit us, as he would do periodically after his trips.”
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security told Muhammad’s sister that their father’s last known travel into the United States was in December 2014, but there is no record of his leaving the country with his U.S. passport since then.
Muhammad said her relatives in Pakistan are unsure if he has a Pakistani passport, and the Pakistani government does not generally keep records of people leaving the country, only entering.
