A friend of mine has MS, she has trouble even feeling her feet, she actually has to drag a foot to move forward with her cane. She also still drives. I think that maybe she couldn't get her foot off the gas pedal and everything happened to fast. IMO. Very sad.
I used to work with a woman with MS, who had an accident because she couldn't get her foot off of the gas and onto the brake. Luckily, it was a pretty minor one (although a little embarrassing--she rear-ended a court commissioner in the courthouse parking lot!). She stopped driving after that.
Anyhow, I can see how the MS really could play into this.
