GUILTY NY - Jeanine Cammarata, 37, teacher, didn’t show up at work, Staten Island, 30 Mar 2019 *ARRESTS*

  • #281
The NYPD said they found the “charred and unidentifiable” remains of a body at a storage facility on Staten Island.

Sources say the NYPD has video that allegedly shows Cammarata’s estranged husband Michael Cammarata and another person carrying something heavy in a bag from a Queens address.

Another video of the estranged husband shows him carrying that same bag at the Extra Space Storage facility on Staten Island.

Police called Michael Cammarata the “primary suspect” in the case.

“Right now, he’s being held on unrelated assault and stalking. With the discovery of these human remains, these human remains, the investigation has taken a turn… into a murder investigation. So we’re working with the Staten Island District Attorney to establish probable cause and justification to charge him with murder,” Aubry said.

Police were led to the storage facility by a Crimestoppers tip.

Her children have been placed in ACS care.

“We are continuing our search of the storage facility for additional evidence,” said NYPD Assistant Chief William Aubry.

They would either be left home alone or rode with them in the van to transport her body.

My guess would be rode in Jeanine's car with gf until they dumped Jeanine's car, then transferred to the van. More likely, because it was Sunday night, they were likely just left alone at home.

Or with the girlfriend or some other family member. They are too young to be left alone in the house. I can tell you that the children are currently under the care of ACS, pending an investigation / determination of any family members who petition the court for custody.

Could be. Both were seen on video carrying the bag out of the house but the police have said just 1 figure was shown carrying the bag to the storage unit.

Where in the world do you burn a body in NYC?
Far Rockaway is located very south of Manhattan and close to the Atlantic Ocean. He did not live in the middle of the city. It's in the borough of Queens, which is included with the other 4 boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island) when referring to NYC. Quite possibly he took her to a beach area there or on Staten Island.

I don’t actually know any violent control freaks, and am wondering how these guys manage to get women, who then can’t get away from them without something like this happening? To be clear, I am not judging Jeanine at all-I can’t imagine that a woman, especially one with a child would knowingly get into this kind of a jam-what is it that these predators do to hook these women, so that they cannot get away. This guy had a girlfriend, and still wouldn’t let his wife get away, and somehow managed to have physical custody of their children-I am struggling with the fact that this continues to go on, with no way to stop it.

We were talking yesterday about EZ Pass. I wonder if any of the vehicles had it. He could easily be tracked driving all around the boroughs.

And to think I was in Brooklyn and Staten Island on Sunday! I'm so sorry Jeanine!!

I know it makes no sense trying to "understand" why people do evil things like this ... this man just made his life, the life of his children, and the life of anyone who loved Jeanine worse and for what? He thought giving up custody of his children was the worst thing? Thought I'll show her .. what a waste!! If this is Jeanine, may she be at peace now and her friends and family find strength to deal with this horrible situation
I imagine that the custody of his children was the only thing he had left to try to control and hurt her.

I have an answer to this. I'll come back to it once I'm vetted and approved as a VI on this case.

^^ Respectfully, bolded by me

I doubt it. Likely, the prospect of paying her CS enraged him. Perhaps, from

his narcissistic point of view, she should have found a third job & written the CS

checks to him

For many abusive relationships, they don't start out this way. There are often "warning signs" but usually the women (or men) experience a protective person, attentive person, and are groomed to think that the person has their best interests at heart. As the relationship develops, little things begin to create more and more controlling behaviors on the part of the abusers. Concurrently, there is often strategies for isolation (your friends are trying to break us up, you are making bad choices with them, I love you more than your family) and a systematic breaking down of the abused/survivor's sense of self/ self-worth, leading to getting the abused to hand over decision-making or creates a situation where they take control decision-making based on the "poor track record" of the abused. The abuser also often feels like the victim and wants the abused to see them as a victim. Usually, it is easy to see the progression in retrospect. By then, it is hard to extricate oneself from the relationship. The abuse may then move from emotional to physical abuse and escalate.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for being here. I am sorry for the loss of this woman, mother, and friend.

When is this going to end? When did people start thinking they had the right to end a life. What was the worst that could have happened? His ex wife would get full custody? At least his children would have had parents, now they have no parents available to guide them. The mother is gone and the father will be in prison. What did that solve?

Unfortunately, it's been going on since the beginning of time and likely won't ever end. Fortunately, violent crime has been reduced dramatically over the past couple of decades.

I think its misworded and they mean he was seen leaving w a large bag afer she showed up at his house. his house provides the cover to kill her.

His new girlfriend better start speaking the truth!!!

I don't know what to think about her. She might be just as terrified of him as Jeanine was. What if she talks and then he gets out of jail? Sadly, I've been that terrified of a man myself. I doubt I'd participate or cover up a murder, but I was out of my mind with fear.
