GUILTY NY - Jeanine Cammarata, 37, teacher, didn’t show up at work, Staten Island, 30 Mar 2019 *ARRESTS*

BBM. Good point. Could be. With the article I just posted upthread stating Jeanine told a friend her EX called her to come see the kids, that he would give her the kids, sounds like he at lured her to his residence for some reason. JMO

I'm sure he was furious that Jeanine had served him divorce papers two days before and he had to appear at a custody hearing on Monday. That gave him/them 2 days to plan the murder. I'm still somewhat surprised MC and gf admitted Jeanine was there that night and that gf told PD about the storage unit. The whole thing is just sloppy.

Yes, it sounds like he was going to make sure she would never be able to show up for a court date. So stupid.

Where did he burn the body? You can't light one on fire inside an apartment.

Exactly. After so long of not giving up the kids, he invites her over just before Monday's hearing.

Maybe he did that to look good before the hearing - to be able to say, "Hey, she has the kids. What's the problem?"

Or, maybe he had something planned.

They say he left his place carrying a bag and they have video of a bag being unloaded from his vehicle at the storage unit. But, from what I understand, the body was found in a bag in a bin. Sounds like the bin was already in the storage unit? Placed there ahead of time in preparation, or does he use the storage unit and had the bin there for other reasons previously?

Still unanswered questions. Hope the gf is singing. Sounds like she is.

Heartbreaking to see this thread today. I was so wrapped up in the Timmothy hoax yesterday that I did not check this thread. Heartbreaking for her children and family.

"Investigators questioned Cammarata’s girlfriend late Wednesday night, though police are still working to determine her involvement, if any, in Jeanine’s disappearance, the sources added.

Michael and Jeanine had eight previous domestic incidents reported between them, and he was the aggressor in all, but one, a police source previously told the Post."

I still think she was put into the bag, burned with acid, then put in the bin. My opinion only, of course.

Chemical burn - Wikipedia

"A chemical burn occurs when living tissue is exposed to a corrosive substance such as a strong acid or base. Chemical burns follow standard burn classification and may cause extensive tissue damage. The main types of irritant and/or corrosive products are: acids, bases, oxidizers / reducing agents, solvents, and alkylants. Additionally, chemical burns can be caused by some types of chemical weapons, e.g., vesicants such as mustard gas and Lewisite, or urticants such as phosgene oxime."

It's entirely possible the burns and charring were not fire, but chemical. IMO

^^ Respectfully, BBM

I bumped into live footage from one of the local news stations yesterday, and when I went to post the link later,
it had been replaced by more recent footage.

The reporter was talking about an incident that involved Michael's arrest for trespassing. He had been "evicted"
from where he had been living, and a photo was shown of him climbing a fence in an attempt to "re-enter" the
residence and/or property. Anther photo of him handcuffed.

This was in broad daylight (not to mention, a residential-looking neighborhood on SI) and it
seems to me he may live his life based upon the rules/laws do not apply to him.

In any event, possible that he had some belongings in storage (his or another's) due to "eviction."

I don't recall the month & date of the arrest, but I want to say it was within past year and a half since
I considered posting it, and thought it MAY be relevant to his access to the storage facility.

Loved Ones Fear The Worst As Search For Missing SI Mother Jeanine Cammarata Turns Into Murder Investigation

"The investigation has taken a turn… into a murder investigation,” NYPD Assistant Chief William Aubry said Thursday. “We’re working with the Staten Island district attorney to establish probable cause and justification to charge him with murder.”

Police still have not found Jeanine Cammarata’s 2017 white Chevy Cruze with the license plate HSK8417.

As for her children, authorities say they are still in protective custody."

<snip & BBM>

A license-plate reader recorded Cammarata’s car entering the borough at 9:34 p.m. Sunday, sources told the Post...A gray 2016 Chrysler Town & Country minivan allegedly owned by her estranged husband, Michael Cammarata, was spotted following the Chevy Cruze about 10 minutes behind it, the report said.

The minivan returned to Queens around 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to the report.

Wondering if the burning/charring of her body occurred on SI, and not in Far Rockaway area

Also, wondering whether or not the older child attended school (I believe I read, was still in a SI, not Qns school) on Monday & who dropped the child off that morn

  • #356
I wonder if MC showed up Monday morning for the court hearing.

Police said he was arrested last September for trespassing for allegedly trying to get into a home he had been evicted from.

It’s not funny, but air fresheners? Nothing is going to mask the smell of a decomposing body. I keep imagining those little pine tree things hanging all over the storage unit as if they would make a difference.

It didn't make a bit of difference to the scent dogs that lead them straight to the unit.
