Interesting day with GR's attorneys following us up to Center rd while we worked on Jen's memorial - The look on our hillbilly faces when their Mercedes-Benz pulled up -- Priceless!!

Bear and I had the news crews rolling on the floor - Bear and Porter comparing shoes, she almost went home with his sneakers! No joke! I love these ladies and having Jillian' s hand to grab when the judge made his decision meant the world.

We make a good team, if I don't say so myself

Upstate ~ Since you were there and saw what you saw, you can talk about this here if you're comfortable in doing so. I think there was one or two other WS'ers there, too. Since there were others there as well, it's surely no secret at this point.

Thanks been thinking about it ever since that day. Was not sure about mentioning about it due to what we thought it was and I didn't want to get booted lol.

Just re-watching this old video from WBNG
http://www.wbng.com/home/Police-Search-Around-Home-of-Missing-Woman-183965521.html

At the very end of the segment, when considering where Jennifer may have gone, there's a statement, "She's originally from Albany, but has traveled a lot with her husband."

At first I was thinking, it might have been the move out to Arizona. But, actually, she made that move with her parents -- and then GR came out and they continued their relationship and got married.

But, living in just one other state other than NY doesn't equal "traveled a lot."

It makes me wonder -- did they go on vacations to....Canada or the Caribbean or even Europe? Would this show up on GR's expanded driver's license? If he does have a Dutch passport and used that, it would show up there, unless it's been renewed.

I don't know...the meds she was taking don't lend themselves to being abused...and...how would he know that the pill bottle would be found in the dumpster? Why not just leave it in the van or by her body?

Thinking he emptied her handbag in the dumpster to fake a robbery or abduction.

Pretty sure they travelled around the USA because "Remy" wanted to complete a marathon in every State. :puke:

This thread does not have many tags.
Can someone add some and any others you can think of like the new lawyer F. Stanton Ackerman of Albany,A-1 violent felony , enhanced driver’s license (may be on there),Netherlands, prescription pill container ,Plank Road Manor Apartments ,Chrysler mini-van ,Norwich YMCA ,handcuffs,Chenango County Courthouse, South New Berlin, if they are not on here. I can't see them when submitting reply :)

I had 5 tags left to use, but apparently the quota of tags allowed for a particular thread has been met -- couldn't add any more.

GR is certainly no master criminal based on his actions following this crime. He seemed bent on completing his alibi in as short a time as possible. First, he dumped Jenns body only 10 miles away, then the phone even closer to town/home, then the van even closer to home.

The clear implication was that it was a very local crime, with the killer heading back towards town and his own home and the crime being committed very early in the day. The master criminal in me would have thought, hey I have all day, she is suppposed to be going 70 miles away and being gone all day and i have an all day alibi for work. He could have driven 50 miles and diverted attention yet he made it look like a straight line back home, body, phone, van, Y and ride home in just a couple of hours. If the murder was premeditated, his actions after were certainly hasty and not thought out. Maybe he wanted the police to find the van on the way out to show where he found the phone but they did not. Instead it sat in plain sight for days (he must've been sweating that for a few days).

Bottom line is he drew a straight line right back to himself as prime suspect. He drew attention on his own town as the focus of some random predatory killer on the loose. If he had any brains he would have gone much closer to her supposed destination and not left all the evidence in his own back yard.

It certainly would have made more sense to leave her body closer to Syracuse. However, it seems that murderers usually tend to dump bodies in some area where they have familiarity. The trail head for Plymouth Loop was just down the road from where she was left. And there was that unsolved murder on One-Eye -- also very near. So...a place with which he was familiar, plus a place near another murder.

Another thing...even though he had all day...I think he was trying to dispose of everything in the same time it would have taken him to jog to the Y (and use the run to the Y as his alibi for that block of time)(remember the DA said he made a big point about being at the Y that day -- called a lot of attention to himself and that Jen was out shopping)

...and he couldn't have left the van too far away without having a way to get back home.

Such a great post and IMO what could be COD reached the same way as you. I just think the amount of time it took to make an arrest has made me think blunt force, strangulation or drugging her

Have we had any insight as to if the tox results did indeed take that long to come back or if they sat on the results for a time?

I am trying to get caught up on posts and I haven't come accross any definite answer to this or anything verified anyway

The lack of effort on disposing of her body and sloppiness to placement of her belongings are the reasons I suspect a more sudden death.

The only thing (that I'm aware of) that LE said was that the final autopsy results came in the week they made the arrest.

My guess is that the initial tox screens came back earlier, but then they decided to do some further screening. I really think GR manipulated her medications somehow to render her unconscious -- perhaps an overdose, perhaps slipping in something else that would react badly with her Cymbalta, perhaps taking apart her Cymbalta pills and putting something else in there.

Nanasbabe -- is Cymbalta normally taken all at one time, or two or three doses during the day? Is it supposed to be taken at bedime or in the morning?

I just want to see her regain her rightful place in the world, completely free from all the dishonourable people who managed to attach themselves to her and her name.

(respectfully snipped)

And that anyone who harmed her, betrayed her or tried to sully her name will vanish from history. Who cares what happens to them? Who cares how they feel about anything? Soon they will be gone and forgotten forever, I hope.

Is this just my arch-enemy-ipad-that-got-bought-for-me-when-I-didn't-want-one-anyway........or has that video been deleted now?

It's working for me, but maybe because you don't have a FB account? Can be accessed via youtube.

I'm not a fan of the person who did it, but I do think she did a nice job. I think the song was written and sung just for Jennifer by a friend of hers. The only thing I don't like about the video is the Judas kiss (1:18 photo).

The Cymbalta is taken in one dose as a rule they can up the dose from 30 mg that they start you on to 60mg which is what I take and that is all capsule form. IMO It seemed to work better for me to take it in the morning so it helps during the waking hours.

Abigail, visas are NOT required for travel to Trinidad and Tobago by EU passport holders (includes GR if he has a Dutch passport).

Neither are they required for US citizens not planning to stay more than three months.

So basically, hunting down visa applications for GR and any 'special friend' will be a waste of time, imo.

Even if a visa isn't required, that country's immigration usually will still stamp the passport when entering and exiting (except with cruises when it's just a day trip). I just had to get pages added on to my passport a couple weeks ago because it was getting filled up with those sorts of stamps. The U.S. government now has the audacity to charge $80 just for adding pages (used to be free).

So...wondering where GR would be keeping that Dutch passport if he has one? Probably not at the house, as it was searched...but...I bet he has a safety deposit box somewhere. Probably the same place he was keeping Jennifer's rings...the ones that LE didn't find in their 4 day search, but suddenly reappeared later.

Oh yes, of course! That would involve a lot of traveling!

But...why the expanded driver's license? Seems like they went on a trip to Canada or Mexico or the Caribbean? Or maybe they were planning to? Or maybe GR was planning to with someone else?

Did Jennifer also have an expanded drivers license? Wonder when GR got his?

Splendid!! Thank you Nanasbabe. Well, we know she was taking 30 mg a day in Sept. 2012 -- I think that was the only time she mentioned dosage -- but it may have been increased. But...morning dose....yes, this is helpful.

And...there would have been no reason for her to take her meds with her for a day trip. They wouldn't have been in her purse, most likely, if she only took them in the morning. More likely in the bathroom or on her kitchen counter.

Sad to admit but I am a few pages behind. I would LOVE to see a few posters come back that seemed to have support GR. Not to bash them at all... I find myself still looking them up and would bet that they could sure use the support here if they were so inclined. Sorry that your friend is being charged with murder, I can't imagine but I would love to see them here and humbled in justice for our Jennifer.

Nanasbabes, you may have noticed I am a bit concerned about a lovely eighty-one-year old newlywed called Bob Harrod, who has been missing since 2009.

Because of the history of Bob's case, I love making donations in his name to good causes. Can you help me out?

Zwiebel-just wanted to say how much I admire your dedication to Bob's case, I have not followed his thread very closely but saw his disappeared episode and cried a ridiculous amount when his wife talked.
Also thanks to everyone who works so hard here for Jennifer! I don't post often but read here and follow on J4J and am amazed by how much of a positive impact "armchair detectives" have had on Jennifer's case:)

If he used one of her medications, I would think the Skelaxin would be the one used over Cybalta since it would cause her to be very drowsy and eventually lead to respiratory failure being a muscle relaxant. She was also dealing with a respiratory infection around that time so it's possible that could enhance its effects and/or there were additional prescriptions she was given. JMO

I am curious however and maybe one of you can explain to me the differences - but I am under the impression that if GR premeditated this - wouldn't he be charged with first degree rather than second? Sorry I'm not well versed on the criteria of criminal charges.

Maybe. I can't view it from here or direct on you tube. It seems odd to me that someone would make a video like that and limit viewability to people with a fb account.

Yet another little mystery.

ETA: I'm so suspicious I went through an anonymous browser to try and see it that way! Still couldn't, but at least I know now it wasn't just me being blocked. So it must be the facebook thing. I still find it a strange thing to do though.

It was mentioned a few times upthread magicfeu. I think it is just a NY thing, as first degree charges there are normally reserved for the killing of a police officer. So NY second degree charges equate with other states' first degree, in terms of seriousness.

I think. Someone'll correct me if I'm wrong.

To see that lady who is nearly eighty sitting there, refusing to budge from California despite all she has been through, and demanding justice for Bob was heartbreaking. She's a lone voice in the wilderness there for her husband.

That's the kind of loyalty Jennifer deserved from a partner. Such a shame she didn't get it.
