I see it way more as a dig at her by Joe M. Every statement makes her look bad, and the only thing from the prosecutor was pretty off-handed dismissal. Its really an unflattering portrayal.

Ackerman said Sayles underwent rigorous questioning from police investigators during the search for Jennifer Ramsaran. She was also given a polygraph.

And here we are back at that old question again .. if a person passes a polygraph test, would the attorney not mention that they have passed it?

Just a hunch, but I'm betting on cross examination, Eileen might have trouble convincing a jury of her honesty, reliability and integrity. Kind of hard to be all those things AND cheat on your own husband with your best friend's husband all at the same time. :waitasec:

I guess Ackerman’s strategy (and GR’s too) could be to throw certain people under the bus, and hope the responsibility for Jen’s murder sticks to them and not to GR in a potential juror’s eyes.

“Don’t worry honeybun, no one will believe sweet wonderful you has done anything wrong <cough, cough>. Ackerman just needs to deflect Jen’s murder from me ... to try to put some reasonable doubt into the mix”.

One little, tiny thing that I noticed in Joe's article - it kind of gave the impression to me that ES and GR only ran one race together. Kind of almost supporting GR's 'one-off' version of the affair, for those who don't know different.

Now I think about it, how is GR's lawyer going to reconcile his client's honesty and the various claims of reliability and integrity he is making, with GR's original version of just a one night stand? Is GR still maintaining that's the truth? Did ES confirm GR's story to the police originally?

I cannot quite work out how this is going to come over at the trial, but I don't think it will look good, or believable frankly, if they're still in a relationship now. I think GR's uncaring 'What's that got to do with anything' remark will come back to haunt him too......along with a lot of others.
