Balloon release was perfect tonight! We released extra balloons for all that couldn't be there in person - It was snowing like crazy, it stopped snowing long enough for us to release the balloons and watch them float away and then the snow continued - It was all it should have been

I would think GR's Uncle from Florida won't be "out" any reward money... Since the perp is already behind bars...:jail:

(The only money he will have to sacrifice is for the ad itself...)

JMO

Nor is he able to post bail

It seems to me a lot of hard work has gone into spreading and sustaining the message that, 'GR is innocent, charges are due to mass prejudice, there is no evidence. Repeat, there is no evidence.'

Which the DA has just blown out of the water by revealing not only that defence is motioning to suppress evidence - but that part of the evidence has come from GR's own mouth.

The law is just far too complicated for me - for the life of me I can't fathom how an attorney can try and suppress something they don't think exists.

Mind you, I can't fathom either, the point in offering a reward for information, long after the desperate need for information to help locate a missing mom has passed. I think it looks pretty bad that it wasn't offered to help bring her home, and hasn't done anyone any favors.

Also, I am very surprised that none of the people who insist GR is innocent and want him freed appear to have expressed any anger towards the 'real killer' they must think is still out there and has caused him all this trouble. It is admirably restrained of them; I'd be beside myself with rage.

I am hoping Jennifer's loved ones - especially her children - have a beautiful Christmas. I hope they are surrounded by love and warmth, and they cook way too much food. I hope someone makes potato soup and it is half as good as Jennifer's.

I am so sorry Jennifer cannot be with her loved ones this Christmas. The world could do with more people like Jennifer. Peace and love to all her loved ones, and those who worked so hard to bring her home. You are not forgotten, Jennifer Ramsaran.

I wonder if the police recovered the missing dresser? I bet there was blood on it and GR got rid of it.

Jen's sister and mother said the kids had a wonderful Christmas (Heard rumors of Christmas elves making a special delivery for the kids) - Just a quick pop in

Still here, waiting... thank you for the update, Upstate. Jen is never far from my mind.

I see. So someone's found it helpful to set up a new FB for Jennifer for facts and information without rumors and innuendos, but not put any information on it?

Very odd. No indication who is it running it, but all the shouty caps look rather familiar......

ETA: Ignore me everyone. It was set up last March.

I suppose all the 'facts' will be posted as soon as the trial starts. I wonder if they will be as factual and clear and free from innuendo as those first, early descriptions of missing, loving mom Jennifer were?

ETA Ditto my edit above.

Never trust a word I say about FB. I'm not on it, don't know how it works and by the time I do something else will probably have been invented and no-one will use it anymore. Sorry everyone.

It's February... where is the news?

Think about you often, Jennifer. Still waiting for justice.

http://www.evesun.com/news/stories/...o-withdraw-defense-attorney-in-Ramsaran-case/

NORWICH – Ganesh R. Ramsaran, a 38-year-old New Berlin man charged with murdering his wife in 2012, is scheduled to appear at 10:30 a.m. in Chenango County Court on Monday, March 3, 2014.

Monday’s appearance is with regard to a motion seeking order for withdrawal of Ramsaran’s defense attorney.

Ramsaran’s defense counsel – attorneys James Chamberlain of Norwich and F. Stanton Ackerman of Albany – were not available for comment at press time, nor was Chenango County District Attorney Joe McBride.

Ramsaran was charged with second degree murder in May of 2013 following a lengthy investigation into the disappearance of his wife, Jennifer.

Jennifer Ramsaran was first reported missing by her husband the evening of Dec. 11, 2012. Her body was located months later, on Feb. 26, off an embankment near Center Road in the Town of Pharsalia, unclothed and badly deteriorated.

Ramsaran entered a not guilty plea when he was first arraigned in local court on May 17, 2013 and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 cash or $300,000 property. He posted bail and was released until he was soon indicted by a grand jury and arraigned in county court where he was remanded on $500,000 bail. He has since been in custody at the CCCF.

The prosecution has said throughout the process they are ready to proceed. Various motions filed by the defense were denied by Chenango County Court Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr.

Court proceedings are open to the public.

Does anyone know if this is because GR wants to remove his attorney or the attorney wants to be excused?

Thanks horsenaround - if this is the case, I hope they don't get off. I think it would delay the trial yet again. The family has waited long enough.

  • #299
My immediate thought when I saw this was that GR's attorney has been unable to convince his client to conduct the defence any way but his way. Perhaps GR will decide he can represent himself much better?

Or maybe it's just that GR has run out of money to pay........I don't know if a lawyer would be allowed to step down for that reason though.

I sure hope for her family and her childrens sake, that this can be over soon! Hopefully, the judge wont allow them to quit the case!
