Hopefully this will work -- here's a satellite view of the YMCA with the Howard Johnson to the west and Rite Aid to the north. GR told police he cut through the Rite Aid back parking lot to get to the Y. But I'm guessing the surveillance is going to show him passing in front of (or through) the Ho Jo parking lot.

Sheff Road (home) is to the east-north-east, while the Plank Road apartments (where van was found) is to the north-east-north. If he was running from the apartments, he'd have passed by Ho Jo's, but no reason to go that route if coming from his home.

ETA: curiously, there's also surveillance footage from the ATM at NBT bank, which is across Broad Street from the Y (same side of street as Howard Johnsons) but south about 2 blocks.

I think they're trying to show he didn't take the route he said he did. I think he may have been able to get to the Y from the apartments and avoid cameras (I believe Offroadrunner showed us how that could be done in his video)

I know of no known mechanism to kill someone and dispose of their body through a computer from England. These chats do not seem to imply someone would rush over and simply kill someone, a little racy but thats what the internet is for these days.
