Also accepted as evidence Thursday was surveillance footage from the Norwich YMCA. The video showed Remy arriving at the facility from the opposite direction he told police he came from the day his wife went missing.

McBride told Action News an IBM employee, more law enforcement officials and a representative from an insurance agency are scheduled to testify Friday, and that the subject of life insurance will be discussed.

He was at the Y from 12:22 to 12:42 per security video, testimony of staff and testimony of a policeman acquaintance who saw and spoke with him. He was wearing a sweatshirt and (I think) shorts. He told people there he'd run from home, and that Jennifer was off shopping that day. YMCA staff found it a bit odd that he mentioned what Jen was doing, as he didn't ordinarily do that.

"hey officer. remember me? yeah, i know. i'm not surprised. everyone does. brrrrr...it's freeeezing out, right? i ran here all the way from my home on sheff road. i'm not out of breath though, but can't explain it. oh, guess what? my wife, jennifer ramsaran (we have a perfect marriage!) took her orange'ish town and country van and went shopping in syracuse (destiny usa) today before i arrived here to talk specifically to you. also, she gets nosebleeds a lot, so there might be some blood in it. gotta go. need to call my non-mistress, non-playmate for a ride home. not inviting her in today though. i know. weird, right?"

Jury hears of blood in Ramsaran home, van

NORWICH — A State Police evidence expert testified Thursday that he detected numerous blood stains inside a minivan used by alleged homicide victim Jennifer Ramsaran as well as many more blood marks inside the South New Berlin home she shared with her husband, Ganesh “Remy” Ramsaran.

More than a dozen blood spots were found inside the Ramsaran home at 473 Sheff Rd. as well as a spot remover, said Investigator Jason Miller, assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Troop C, Sidney.

The spot remover, he said, was on top of a men’s dresser in the upstairs master bedroom of the home when police searched it on Dec. 18, 2012. Miller said he also participated in evidence searches inside and outside the house the following two days.

Police stepped up their interest in the Ramsaran residence after a substance that appeared to be blood was found inside the orange Chrysler Town & Country minivan when it was searched on Dec. 17, 2013.
