Just like there haven't been any press conferences or reporting saying that Jennifer ran off....

(Or any press conferences AT ALL for that matter, and very little reporting)

Just sayin'.......

Remy is lined up for media interviews all week. We arranged all today.

There are a ton of people on this thread right now. 18 members and 14 guests. That's on the high side of number of viewers I've seen here, thus far, at any given moment.

<Mod Snip>

We are still allowed to have opinions though right? we can still have the opinion that we believe some harm has come to her without saying who we think harmed her. That's not against the rules is it?:waitasec:

Everything has to be considered. Just I believe the rules are that one cannot specifically pick someone out and make them a suspect.

Yes, everyone here is allowed to have opinions. You can discuss anything that is known at the time thru the media and law enforcement. You can speculate again based on what we do know at this time.

No accusing the family, no one has been named a suspect, so the family is off limits at this time. This can change of course but at this time no one is a suspect or poi.

If you feel a post is against our TOS, regardless of who posted it, please alert and I will check it out. Everyone here must follow our terms of service, even me, lol. :)

I still continue to wonder if her purse, from that day ( or any purse) and her wallet, her identification, credit or debit cards, and a passport, if she has one, or SS card and birth certificate......if one or any of those items are missing...

Yes that's exactly what I was saying. We can still say we believe she has come to harm if that is our opinion. I was confused as to why you said there has been no press conference saying she has come to harm when someone had made that comment. I took that as you saying that we werent allowed to say this as there hadnt been a press conference to confirm it.

Thank you, thank you for the head's up!! I'm not local so I'll try to catch it on the link. Meanwhile, if anyone watches the local station on tv, could you tell us what they reported? Thanks!

I'll give an update!

I am really confused about this case. Why does one person- who may very well KNOW what happened to JR- garner protection in this case? I understand the no-sleuthing of victims rule, but it seems to be uber controlled in this case. If we want to find out what happened to JR, then we have to be able to explore the obvious. MOO

Wait, I'm confused. The gift for GR was her wearing a dress?

I don't get it. Lavanda, I'm guessing that you have spoken in great length with her husband. You know quite a bit of personal things in such a short time.

Maybe with her recent weight loss, she felt good enough about her body to actually step out of her comfort zone.

I relate!

I explained it above correctly so not sure why you have changed it? Not meaning this in a not-nice way...however, will say again...the dress she was shopping for was for her daughter for her daughter to wear for her Christmas program...and the other gift that she was to buy at the mall was for Remy. Hope it makes sense. Yes. I know a lot about Jennifer's likes/dislikes , traits, personality, interests as all that is important for her case file with the hopes of someone recognizing those traits. They will be posted on the website by morning. Example: she eats her hamburgers plain, no condiments...loves cherry coke but lately was drinking a lot of water with lemon...is left handed...she hates whipped cream...she is not a morning person...she loves Boston creme donuts...She does not eat sandwiches or subs...she has dysleia...she hates coffee but likes tea with sugar.

Thankyou for clarifying, that's what I thought

This case is no different from most of the cases here. Until and unless someone is named a suspect or person of interest then we do not sleuth or accuse them of being a suspect. It has nothing to do with protecting anyone.

We are a victim friendly site and at this time the family is considered victims as well.

If you all have questions you can pm me or any Mod here. Lets leave this thread open for discussing Jennifer.

Thank you. I get it now!

So she was planning on a special gift for her husband. I'm taking that it wasn't a surprise then! He had to know that she was on a mission of sorts.

I did the same, trying to find an iPad with no luck.

So that sort of goes against her planning on leaving her life it seems.

Will her parents join the media interviews with Remy?

You neglected to mention that Jennifer likes to snack on ice cream cones, minus the ice cream...

Rickblaine, what else do you know?

Most all police departments will not allow a search by any groups of people in a community. It needs to be done and coordinated by professionals who are skilled in search and recovery. Rarely do I see a case in which any police department asks the public to check their own properties. I especially cringe when I see young children that go missing and it is not asked by the community:(

In this case though, the police didn't say "don't search." They said if you're going to search to 1. STOP and immediately call 911 if anyone sees anything suspicious, and 2. be safe. Yes, they discouraged the search, but they didn't say "don't search," and they were fully aware of our plans. They can't disallow people to search public property, or even private property as long as the searcher has permission to search on said private property. The police only emphasized their discouragement after someone called complaining loudly about it.

Sometimes PD feel they have it "all covered on their own."
Sounds about right, sadly.

I am in full agreement of no ground searches conducted by teams of community members....UNLESS they are asked to ASSIST a trained SAR Team and a lesson is given to the volunteers prior.

The police could have met us on that Sunday to further prepare us, in my opinion, if that was their concern. The search scenes weren't going to fold out looking like people trudging through the snow, clumsily tripping over each other, grabbing at items should they see some, holding them up and shouting, "Hey! Check this out! Look what I found," before stuffing it in a lint-filled wool pocket. I would think that most people have common sense, and would tread lightly after listening to the rules prior to the search. It was by no means going to be a free for all...

God forbid but if 12 people stomped on grounds that evidence could be and one finally notices.....the family of missing will move out of a "I want my loved one home" into a mode of "I want justice" (if a death by crime) and the worst would be that a killer go free as evidence will not get accepted due to contamination or improper handling.

Has this ever happened? A killer going free because a hiker found and touched evidence? I mean, it's certainly plausible that that could happen, but how likely, I wonder?

Yes for one to search their own....no for groups to go out............with that said....I am talking specifically about looking for a body. I am not talking about a 8 year old autistic child that wanders off. Then call out all the teams of any and all persons who can walk and see.

Lavonda, do you know if our police will (or can) plea to the media for people to check their own properties and property boundaries? Someone mentioned the teacher that went missing a couple of years ago, and I believe LE put out an announcement asking for people to check their property. I think that's how she was found, actually (?) Why isn't our local LE doing that? Just a thought...

I wish her parents and sister would put a plea out there on the missing FB page.

I'm still holding out hope that she's out there in the world and reading along with her case. She NEEDS to hear from her Mom & Dad and sister. I know her family is included in the posts from GR but its obvious its not from them.

I can't even begin to imagine the distress they are experiencing but why are they so quiet?

I can only imagine that there are good reasons for this...

Can one of the locals tell me if many or any of the homes have well and/or septic?

Likes/Dislikes/Favorites:

Perhaps someone, somewhere may find this information helpful if they see someone that resembles Jennifer and they are not sure if it is her. Our advice…if you see someone that may resemble Jennifer…call 9-1-1 and keep in your sight, try to take a photo of the person you think may be her (if possible) as those kind of Tips/Leads will help law enforcement to investigate much easier than you waiting to get home to call and then trying to recall details/time/place, etc. Thank you.
