I've yet to know someone who does mental abuse quietly? Those who do mentally abuse their partners are almost always known to belittle their partner in front of others. Rarely does that go unnoticed. Then we go to physical abuse. Kind of hard to physically abuse someone quietly? While people may invariably say "oh they seemed like such a happy couple" in the news...after a crime is committed, it's because those people didn't have intimate knowledge of the couple next door. And I totally disagree that children can reside in the home, one being a teenager, and never recognizing abuse happening to one or either of their parents. They know.

I hear what you're saying but I completely disagree and I've experienced it. How many times have you heard from people that were abused that no one suspected anything. In fact, often the abuser is someone with power, highly respected, etc.

It does happen. As far as the kids go, it's one thing to think your parents are arguing but as a young child, your first thought wouldn't be that one is going to leave or one is going to make one go missing.

Their concern would be wanting their parents to stay together, bottom line.

Just my opinion..

I think that I'll just start here as I missed a few pages yesterday..

I've just read over on the missing JR FB and yes, agreed, quite a few comments begging and pleading for her to come.

Except, the majority don't know Jen and the few that were closest to her still make me uncomfortable.

Example: GR saying 'I truly believe JR never knew how much she was loved by everyone." Or something to that effect.. love-d?
I know past tenses don't always mean anything and by far, I'm not trying to be a linguistic person here but since he publicly gave up hope a week in, and said she would never leave on her own, I'm curious where this new idea of her abandoning her life came from?

Sort of seems IMO IMO that this is the new hop on the bandwagon of theories that probably started harmlessly enough with missing campaigns getting involved.

In honor of this being a victim friendly site, I'll just leave it at this.

IMO, Jennifer did not just run away from her life. I still can't even believe it at .10 percent. But it's just my opinion.

BBM - I didn't see this? I saw a references to people who loves and support you.

I just had a totally new thought/theory, triggered by the earlier mention of suicide. (I still have one more page to catch up on, so forgive me if this has already been discussed and I haven't gotten to it yet).

WHAT IF Jennifer DID commit suicide? What if she was having problems, whatever they may have been (pain, medical issues, depression, whatever) and she wanted to check out of life. But she didn't want anyone to find her body, and she figured it would be easier on everyone if they think she left. So by leaving the phone and car, she makes it look like she took off or that foul play had occurred. She parks the van and walks/jogs somewhere to do it, somewhere that she won't be readily found. Maybe she even drove a couple of places first to find a location, accounting for the mud on the car, went and left the van and then went back to her spot.

I know this is a horrible thought, and I'm sorry for bringing it up :( but suddenly it sounds very plausible. Lavanda has alluded to pain/medical issues possibly being at play in Jennifer's life (and since she's a verified insider, I guess we can take this as more than hearsay, right?). If she had chronic pain issues and could never find a cause or a cure, maybe she gave up in despair.

I dunno, what do you guys think??

If this is even a small possibility, then I agree with ORR and others that searches need to be done! (I already agreed, but this would just make the need for searches even more so). No matter what happened, people need to know. I'm sure that *not knowing* is the hardest part.

I did a search of New Berlin and surrounding area and there are a lot of registered sex offenders residing in the area.

Agreed. Better late than never.

I think I'm getting bitter.

It seems that all developments and moves in terms of finding JR or what's been happening on social media, all seem to stem from what's being discussed her.

IN a way, that's a great thing. Let's bring JR home.

But in a way, I feel like it's a game of chess sometimes. I just don't know how genuine everything really is

Does that make sense to anyone?

Absolutely know what your saying :runaway:

Sounds plausible. Either way, searching is the type of action that needs to take place, ahead of anything else.

Just to rule out any kind of foul play or self inflicted play, I would like to see law enforcement to organize an aerial search. It's pretty costly but sometimes well worth it. I also have to say...I know if someone was reported missing in my town...and for this amount of time...I would certainly have checked my own property...just because. I would have been looking at the sky for buzzards and birds swarming to certain areas too. Remember, when a missing person is missing...while hope is the primary focus...one must also explore all possibilities and that does include the person is no longer with us. All avenues need explored.

So then why is LE not allowing any organized searches of public (and private, with permission) property??? I still don't get it. We've tried to guess at their motive behind this, but it's hard to think of any good reason why searches shouldn't be done. There was a group of people wanting and willing to go out searching, and they were intimidated into canceling the event. I don't get it.

Public opinion can be a harsh opinion. But from these opinions, when there are little facts to play off of, i believe this is where assumption &/or stereo-typing come into play. and of course not all instances of stereo typing fall true, but there are reasons it does have its name.

my point? why hasn't foul play hasn't been ruled out by the PD? I have also been following the Victoria Moon case & the HPD has ruled out (i guess at least for the time being) that there is no indication of foul play. so why IF JR did have a "break" of some kind or even a simple "get me out of here" moment, why are we expected to blame JR? or do we blame the PD? or if we react to how certain characters are playing out, if just simply on social media, sometimes very loudly, for all to see, why is it a "bad" thing when we are scratching our heads & thinking.... hmm i've seen this kind of behavior before (and that thought or red-flag of behavior may not always be forgiving).....?

i want to know why if the CSD (or is it CPD?) hasn't said simply that foul play isn't the case at this time, then why the need to worry about the when & where's of searching? why not welcome it? is it welcome or is it not? only on private property that i own type thing, but not on public land? are we just kind of expected to turn our shoulders & walk away because we are asking to be informed to some pretty basic information (imho) & asking in hopes of being able to help out? but then, how do we help when our eyes may read one thing, but our gut may feel another? who do we actually help? do i send money to her children? to a JR fund of some kind set up for her return & help in helping her get well? because at this time my gut tells me those kids & JR too actually, are the main players who need my help since i can't actually go searching, but then wouldn't law enforcement or others are possibly discouraging me if i wanted to jump on a plane & come find her, or knock on doors & ask questions.........?

where's the icon to hit my head on the wall? ahhh :banghead::banghead:

Lavanda, i appreciate & understand that you have a job to do & i send a thousand internet hugs your way because it is admirable. but also being on this sweet little foreum here, as a verified insider, i would imagine you are able to put your mind into detective mode & help us clear away the smog or clouds that seem to be trying to SIT all over this case. speaking of smog... i don't know what's worse, the smog in the city i live or my pregnant head! (o/t of course).

I couldn't agree more with this post! Yes we do seem to be picking up on every little comment etc but that's what happens when we are given hardly any information. I 2nd that head smack! :banghead::banghead:

Searching Plymouth, where her phone was found, there are a few, one or two of which live right on the road the phone was found.

Searching in Norwich, near where her car was found, there are over 20, with a cluster of 4 living near the apartment building where her car was found.

Great idea to do that type of search, PennyFlower.

Master manipulators are extremely skilled in the ways of subtlety.... I think it's perfectly reasonable that some forms of "abuse" could go unnoticed by everyone up to and including the victim.

GREAT observation.

Unless we have something from LE and or main stream media that talk about abuse, physical, mental, whether the children knew etc. is off limits. If you have a link to show then please do so, if not the talk about it stops until you can show it to be the case.

We can speculate, with what we know, just out and out rumors are not allowed.

Bumping this up...

I'm not sure if that bump was for me, I apologize if I broke a rule. I was simply commenting on human behavior, it was not directed at a person in particular. Please feel free to edit if it was out of line.

I could see LE not wanting people to search if they do not believe she is a crime victim. They do not want people getting injured, lost, trespassing, etc.

But in other missing persons cases, LE often asks the public to search their own properties, sheds, outbuildings, etc. Have they done this?

Also thinking they possibly don't want to get a slew of calls or use a lot of man hours on things that are not actually evidence.

I think LE did encourage locals to search their own property. I could be mistaken.

Here's a question -

in just about every missing case I've followed, at sometime the topic comes up about the person hiding themselves and committing suicide such that will not be found -- but, does anyone know of a case in which this was really happened?

Hmm. Well, kind of O/T to this case, but I do know of a case where a guy shot his wife and 2 other people and then took off and no one could find him. They later found him in a shallow grave in the woods after having committing suicide, where he'd attempted to hide and conceal himself.

But just "regular" missing person cases? Hmm, good question. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure it's happened at some point...

Not sure if this was brought up: does she have a passport and if so, is it missing??
