If there are 4 different versions to the "story" of a ring, perhaps it is because it was not asked direct to the source. I asked GR directly about the ring. So in essence I don't see his wedding band as something to raise eyebrows over? Maybe I am missing something? Maybe it's because I know myself after my hand and arm surgery that it took quite awhile to get used to wearing my ring again? Had I had it my way...I probably would not...but because I love my ring ...I forced myself to get over the awkward feeling of getting used to it back on.

Perhaps it wasn't asked direct to the source. But considering who is giving those other versions of the same story....at least 2 of them are very very close to him, so I think it's easy to think that they probably heard about it directly from him or from Jennifer.
I guess it's one of those things we will have to respectfully agree to disagree.

He has conveyed over and again he did not harm his wife. I believe him.

Lavonda - can you clarify for me. What if you didn't believe him (I'm asking in general, not case specific here)? Would you still help, because the goal is finding Jennifer (or other missing loved one) and regardless if the person knows something or has involvement, the goal would be to find the missing person.

Hope that makes sense. I guess I'm just asking, does it matter who asks for help?

Have you been allowed access to the case file, or is this what you have been told by GR?
Sorry to be asking so many questions, it's just hard to differentiate between what he has told you vs. what you personally have confirmed and/or can vouch for.
In other words: I believe you 100%, but it's sometimes hard to believe him.

Nobody is allowed access to a case file. It is an investigation. LE is not going to share that with any person. Bits and pieces here and there...yes....but to hand over a case file? No. Not unless LE calls in an expert to help on a case. I am not an expert that they would call in. I can however vouch for every word that I wrote in regards to what was done by LE and what I see has been done. We work with many PD's and Sheriff's and FBI divisions across the USA. They are doing a good job in Jennifer's case and I can tell you that most cases that involve NY police are handled very well. (and Illinois, PA, MA and Maine are by far the very best that I've worked with.)

Lavonda, how did GR explain the comments he made in the DailyStar article from 1/30/13 by Joe Mahoney?
Particularly this one:
"The kids miss their old mom, not the one that was here the last six or nine months when she went through all the different changes"

That's a very good question and we've had that happen before a few times. I would continue, but with another member of the family.

Thanks!

So between this photo (May 2012), according to GR, he had his ring cut off because of bee sting swelling, replaced the ring, and had a subsequent injury to his ring finger that brought recurrent swelling to the same finger- making the ring "uncomfortable" for wear.

Tough luck!

OR - was he wearing the replacement ring in this photo??

Sorry, that's not fact and shouldn't be stated as such. My sister was allowed to look at our sister's case file in the fall of 2008, and I personally reviewed it in June of 2011.

RB, or LaVonda,

If GR stopped at the Y after his run on the day his wife went missing and hit the sauna to get warmed up, how did he get home after that?

Also, RB, are you sure GR is "GOOD" friends with the person he saw in the sauna?

Thanks.

ORR - The word "good" is relative and likely means different things to different people. I was told that they are "good" friends, so take it for what it's worth.

I am unable to respond to your question of how GR got home that day w/o causing problems for LE in their investigation. Sorry...

I cannot answer this because unfortunately it does have meaning behind it that I believe "slipped" in a way that shouldn't have been told as it is part of the investigative process of what was going on with Jennifer prior to her leaving that affected the entire family unit in the home. It's not as simple cut and dry as what it appears. It's not medical...it's complex. That is all I can say.

I thought of that. But if his reason for not wearing the ring was "swelling", I would assume he would not wear it during a run. Especially a long run.

lol. ok. So we will have to agree to disagree on this one. "Good" is not described to me as the person in the sauna. But, the person in the sauna is married to someone that both JR and GR knew well...but not on a personal level. If that makes sense.

With all due respect, IMO it wasn't a "slip", as GR has stated over and over and over again in various places that JR was "different" prior to going missing.

How long after she went missing did you sit with the case file and review it? That makes a difference. Also the question was posed did I review the case file. I am not family. But I can tell you that only one family , that I can recall, actually sat down with LE and was able to read page by page of the case file in the first early weeks of his daughter missing and that was because he was an attorney. And OT...while speaking of the same, his daughter's husband was also "convicted" in the media of killing her. She was located deceased and not by the hands of her husband.

Is this what GR told you or what you know to be fact?

But not in reference to his children.
