The missing page has a post up about the billboard money. They are saying they cannot use it to redesign the billboard to say "tips" because they don't have a cause of death yet and don't know if tips will be needed!!!!

I'm so angry...implying they won't need tips! She did not kill herself.....and really using the police as the reason?? When have the police ever said not to call them if you have any information... Never that's when.

Paraphrased by me...

"LE phone number not put on billboard because cause of death is not known... So tips may not be needed."

Hmmmmm.....

I thought that was the purpose of providing LE's tip line...

So that tips may be called in helping LE find out the Cause of Death!

Maybe those that are making the decision to not print LE's phone tip line is being misdirected...

I wonder WHO would misdirect them... And WHY this person(s) would misdirect them?

How odd.

This article says, "Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 337-1924 or 337-1864. All calls will be kept confidential." It's also stated on the Chenango County website and their FB page that they are receptive to tips, and they note confidentiality, too.

Doesn't jive at all with what GR's PR person says about refraining from putting up a billboard because they need permission to use the police's phone number for tips. Common sense. I wonder how often a police agency would say, "Ummm....nope. Can't use our number for XYZ missing person. Sorry. But 'good luck!'"

Interesting because The Daily Star has this info at the bottom of their most recent article about Jennifer....

I see in that article that LE is URGING calls regarding tips...

They do not say LE is telling the public to just call if they want to...

There seems to be an inconsistency with the reporting in Media. And reporting on the organization's page...

Maybe someone should alert the administration on that site to let them know they are mistaken?

Well here it is...not the snarky post asking for donations that was deleted on the missing page and I didn't save it, but this is what it was and where it showed the amounts and who donated them. Now that information is gone from the wepay site. But pretty interesting what it says they will do with the money if she is found and a victim of foul play....

From this link to the MISSING Jennifer Ramsaran site... It seems there was very direct information where the money for billboards would go to if Jennifer was not found alive...

Sooo... That makes me ask... I wonder WHO made the decision to revoke this decision... And WHY that decision to revoke it was made?

well it seems (according to lost n missing post on Facebook) there is some confusion over the phone number. Apparently crime stoppers may take over if indeed it is found that she met with foul play (they are still not sure just how it will turn out but it appears like they are thinking without saying of course that its not very clear that she actually met with foul play :waitasec so they don't want to confuse the issue and put the wrong number on the billboard so the are going to wait on that....makes sense huh?

Oh and throw in the sherrifs office couldn't advise them either way if they should do it or not....can you imagine how that phone call went to get that answer :waitasec:

I'll ask again when has the sherrifs office said to NOT call them with tips or information....NEVER.

Edited to say: I hope my tone is coming across in this post. I am disgusted that this is continuing after her death. If this wasn't so serious I would post my imitation of the phone call...but I'm just so pissed I can't even make light of it tonight.

I have a feeling... In this day and age... That a phone number presented... If changed at a later date.. Would be transferred to the correct organization/department...

And I imagine the department receiving the call would be very glad to transfer that call, if needed, since it involves something so serious as a murdered woman!

Wow! It looks like Chenango County Sheriff's Office has a very successful record in solving Homicide cases!

That is very encouraging.. And indicates to me that they are on the right track now in their investigation...And will apprehend and charge the killer of Jennifer!

I am certain Jennifer was a victim of foul play. With LE awaiting the tox results though, I am wondering if they are being very cautious and thinking ahead? If Jennifer was taking meds for example, and it happens to turn out that her cause of death was drowning, or suffocation......perhaps they are looking to arm themselves against the possibility of anyone in court using a defence of a 'panicked' disposal of Jennifer's body after she had died accidentally? With over-medication being a factor?

As for the billboard; I can't say I'm sorry that continuing publicity for Jennifer's case has been left in the hands of people like friends and family who love her, WS members, and journalists like Joe Mahoney. In fact, I'm really pleased.

I'm sure all of these questions have been asked already, but I have this nagging feeling that JR was alive when rolled down the embankment and that it happened the day she disappeared. I feel like she unknowingly had someone in the back of the van when she left her house (whomever that may be) and was confronted for some reason.

The Mall "story" all came from one person, as for the roll down the embankment I can't imagine how you could do to another human being, makes my heart bleed.
