The game username is linked to the phone that opened the account and can only be accessed from that phone, no passwords are needed. The Touch app that shares messages, photos etc was outside the game and didn't link to the phone, so could be accessed through another device. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks POB -- so, if I understand you correctly, GR could have deleted the messages using his own phone? Or from either Jenn's computer or his?

Would anyone else, who didn't have access to Jenn's phone or computer been able to delete the messages?

I've noticed it's been unusually quiet in here, especially amongst our regular posters. I hope that nobody is being discouraged by harassment of certain previous posters, public or otherwise. I also hope nobody is being encouraged to not speak out as voices of Jennifer by those outside this forum.
Please remember that Jennifer has no voice, we've all played a small part in helping her obtain one, (with large part credited to Mr Mahoney),please don't fall silent and let anyone stifle Jennifer's voice again.
JUSTICE FOR JENNIFER!

It has been called to our attention that some WS members who previously posted on the Jennifer Ramsaran threads have dropped out of the discussion due to fear of harassment or retribution from other parties.

We're asking that any form of harassment or threats (past or present) that have been expressed or implied be forwarded to me through private message (PM) or via email: [email protected]. Links, copies and screen shots of such harassment or threats would be appreciated.

We have seen preposterous claims across the Internet of individuals having access to our members' personal identifying information and/or their private messages. This is blatantly false and used as a scare tactic. Further claims of private investigators gaining access to this type of information is equally ludicrous. Websleuths holds our members' anonymity in the highest regard and will go to any and all lengths to protect it.

As always, we ask our members to guard their private information when corresponding with others on the Internet and especially when posting on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, personal blogs, email, etc.

This particular forum is now about 'Justice for Jennifer' and we need all hands on deck to help sleuth the case. As a collective body of sleuths, there are no limits to what we might uncover that could aid in bringing about a resolution to this case.

Thank you all and if you have any questions, please don't ever hesitate to contact me, Tricia, an Administrator, or Moderator. We're here to help whenever possible and above all, we want our members to feel safe during their online experience at Websleuths.

I cut my own bangs, and sometimes a few face framers. I leave the rest to the hairdresser. However, not too long ago, my hair was getting pretty long, and the weather was oppressively hot, and I just got aggravated and grabbed some scissors and snipped about 4 inches off the back -- of course, I then had to wear it in a ponytail when I left the house, until I had a chance to go get a real haircut, so no one would see my ragged ends. And...here's the clincher...even though I was wearing my hair down around the house, my husband never even NOTICED the 4 inches missing from my hair. So...it's entirely possible that GR might not have noticed a new haircut.

HOWEVER, saying "she MAY have changed her hair color" doesn't make any sense at all. Did she or didn't she? If she'd had it done at the salon a day or two before, I would think that one of her 3 kids or her husband would have known that her hair color had changed -- and what color it was. If she'd changed it the day she disappeared, the box would have been in the wastebasket, and once again, the new shade could have been announced.

And, if GR found hair clippings in the waste basket, the amount of hair in the wastebasket along with whether Jenn habitually trimmed her own bangs, could have let us know if it were just a little fringe trim, or if she'd cut off most of her locks.

Quite frankly, I would guess that any changes to her hair would have been minor -- from the photos, and from a more accurate description of her personality, it appears that she preferred to wear her hair long, and was not the type to make dramatic changes in hair or clothing.

I think you're missing my points-1-from the photos I've seen -Jen hasn't had bangs in years-that's a difference even a husband that isn't as attentive would have noticed. Going from no hair on your forehead to bangs covering it is completely different. 2- while her actual hair color may not be noticed-THE BOX would have most likely been in the trash with the clippings-what color was it that she purchased? That alone helps-saying it was one vs red vs brown could help.

Abigail-it's always bothered me that when asked(GR/CC/LD) it couldn't even have been said what the box color was or the new color at the hair dressers. Also in regards to the hair snippets-I'd think if ones wife had kissed them on the forehead prior to leaving you'd notice if she'd cut bangs-especially if she hadn't had them prior, they'd be there in your face. Stating it was a whole new hairdo would make me wonder-just how much hair was found? Did Jennifer really know a lot about cutting her own hair to be able to cut a new hairdo other than cutting off a few inches or bangs? Had she done that before? I know I myself can cut fabric straight but couldn't cut a straight line for bangs. Not to mention-in looking for her wouldn't this be helpful to add to missing person posters to increase the chance you'd find her? Just a few of my random thoughts...

I wonder if the mentioning of hair dye will factor into cause of death .. I was just researching hair dye death .. some people actually ingest it as a form of suicide. I'm just thinking there is some reason it was mentioned, albeit vaguely.

Great post.

Early December - GR gives up hope.

“As the last few days have been blurred into one long nightmare I have finally let myself reflect upon the past a bit, something I normally don’t allow myself to do,” the husband, an avid running enthusiast and marathon competitor, wrote on Facebook.

“Jen would NEVER EVER leave our kids and I willingly,” the posting continued. “She has never left home and not keep in contact within 2-3 hours via phone or text. She would never miss our daughters’ Winter Concert last night or her birthday tomorrow. I hate to say this but I have given up hope that she’ll be found safe and sound. The kids and I miss her so much, her laugh, her quirkiness, just everything. Today I went to Walmart and I grabbed my cell to call home and ask her a question about which item I should purchase and reality smacked me in the face and I started crying uncontrollably! That was rough! I am strong and I know the kids and I will get through this.” (http://thedailystar.com/localnews/x1423436202/Officials-seek-leads-on-missing-area-woman)

BBM - Precisely! Why - if GR and LnM refused to - didn't LE at least say a hair colour in their descriptions to help people search for her. :banghead:

This whole case has been very confusing and frustrating. I'm sure that was on purpose, from GR's side .. but wouldn't LE try to keep facts straight???? They have to know something .. and are just putting their ducks in a row... :rubberducky: :rubberducky: :rubberducky:

JUst a thought on why the hair color may be important, could it be lethal if ingested? Could that be something that happened by forced that morning and GR needed a reason to say why it was in the home? Not sure of this but a thought.

So at what point would you have sounded the all hands on deck alarm without any apparent evidence a crime had been committed?
If you followed it someone planted the seed early on that she ran off.
People run off every day that you don't hear of.

Have you had some runs ins with the Sheriff's office?

i did follow it, i seen the planted seed. i would have called for all hands on deck
1. when her parents said HELL NO she would not have run off,
2. 2 weeks prior to Xmas
3. just prior to her doughters b-day
4 . when i found out more about her by INVESTAGATING!!!!....
nothing about it, indacted she would have run off....and only speaking with a missing womens husband in not an investagation......
and not making the public awear I E .sunday school teacher, girl scout leader,,, and all else, we should have been informed of , is again NOT good LE work!
again with all due respect fox, i dont think we will agree on this .
i lived in chenango county my hole life and yes, i would not call them run ins.........(like im an outlaw?) ......but i have been burglarized, a had a car stolen, a store broke into, personial proprety taken. been vandalized. i have also seen my freinds and family have a need for proffessionail LE assistance,i have seen there efforts first hand. and never been impressed.
sorry,that is my opinon

OK, thank you for confirming that whoever deleted the messages from her gaming account would have to know her password, log-in info, and email address.

And...a motive for deleting them.

Yes, I just went back and watched the video, and she only has bangs in one photo, and that was years ago, when the older kids were quite small. Looking at her hairstyles over the years, she made some modest changes in length -- from just below shoulders to a bit longer, and it looks like she made some subtile changes in hair color -- probably highlights -- but nothing dramatic.

And yes, the box would have told us what color her hair was (if the family was unable to)

According to a posting here
http://[link removed]/lostnmissing-inc/

...it was considered that mentioning that Jenn was a Girl Scout Troop leader was "autobiographical info" not pertinent to finding her (or guessing that she met with foul play rather than ran off), but someone might happen to discover the missing Jenn by noting what condiments someone was putting on their hamburger.

I asked the HFJR page if the timeline could be posted there as people on that site were asking for one. They said yes.
Would the author of the timeline want to do that?

Not only does this time line of events surrounding Jen's case help the new... And most welcome, btw .....posters...

Thank you! That is such a good idea. Give people all the info possible.

I was thinking, I have seen an amazing picture taken for Jennifer, where a passing snowflake has formed a perfect angel. A quick look convinced me there are loads of places, including msn, that would feature that, if they were free to run the picture with their story.

Does anyone know if it is copyrighted or if the photographer is willing to share? I wish it was mine - I'd be sending the 'Jennifer's angel' everywhere!

Sorry, stupid I know, but please help out a Brit. Bangs are a fringe, right? The short bit of hair on a person's forehead?

I'm not sure if it's legal to post this, but I was amused (in a rather irate, sad way) by this comment under the article linked above:

Excellent reporting by the PS. She changed her hair color and style before she left, yet we arent told what it looked like before, color, length, etc, and what it might look like now. Oh but, dont worry, there's a picture... of her in a hat. We will keep our eyes out for anyone who likes like they have a new hairdo.

Dang... Can't see comments...:banghead:

ETA... comment now visible... Thanks!

Nor could I at first, but I think if you wait awhile, they'll eventually appear at the bottom.

ETA Ooops, I was a little late with my advice!
