This reminds me so much of the James Ralph post that was on here back in April. He went out to move his car and never returned. He ended up being found alive, but was in the hospital. He also lived in Queens.
Found Alive - NY - James "Jayme" Ralph, adult, went to move his car, Queens, 5 Apr 2019
I think it was @PommyMommy who posted a Twitter comment. They mentioned that they have called all of the hospitals, and he wasn't found to be at one.

I hope he's ok. Something just doesn't sound right about this to me. He went out to check his car, but we don't know if he drove off in it. The wife mentioned his phone and work bag was left behind, but nothing about his keys and wallet being left behind (we can assume he used his keys to check the car). He was in his work uniform, according to the wife, but it was never specified if he had just come home from work or was going to work.

I also find it strange that it took awhile before he was reported missing. Did she call his work to see if he was there? I know a couple of fireman and many times, they work 2-3 days in a row, sleeping at the firehouse for one or two nights. I don't know if paramedics do that, though.

The wife having a potential language barrier does make me feel a little bit better at least. But still.... very very strange.

I'm glad he was found safe. However, I wish there was some sort of a vague explanation of the circumstances.

So where was he? Is there history of drug abuse? Was he just cooling off? Geez

With all the wife's detailed explanations of his "typical behavior during/after a fight," I'm thinking there was definitely an argument....except this time he was too pissed to bother giving her the "I'm alright I'll just be gone for a bit" courtesy call.

JMO/speculation.

Agree. The wife's interview tipped me off that some argument had occurred before he went missing. I couldn't get a good feel about it, because we never learned if his car was missing and if there was any ATM usage during those days. Had it been said that the car was still in the driveway, I may have thought of foul play or something suspicious. The lack of details had a few of us confused.

Glad he is ok, healthy and safe. Next time, he might want to bring his phone with him and text the wife that he's checking out of town for a day or two and wants to be left alone.
