Would-be kidnapper grabs boy, 6, off Coney Island street as screaming child’s parents chase him down, wild video shows

The 36-year-old creep – seen wearing all black, including a bizarrely tall black hat – grabbed the boy just before 10 p.m. near the corner of Stillwell and Surf avenues, police said.

The 36-year-old creep, identified as Jonathan Robalino, was charged with assault and attempted kidnapping after police said he grabbed Gantt just before 10 p.m. near the corner of Stillwell and Surf avenues.

Guardian Angels knew of the suspect "for years"​

At that moment, Guardian Angel Jose Gonzales, who is assigned to Coney Island, was coming off the boardwalk and quickly learned who the suspect was.

"He has been in the area for years. We never thought he would do anything as crazy as that," Gonzales said. "We are increasing our patrols, especially for a situation like that."

Robalino is now facing several charges, including attempted kidnapping.
