Amherst Police asking for help in locating a 36-year-old woman

A 36-year-old Amherst woman disappeared earlier this week while traveling with children — and police say she never crossed into Canada. How you can help:

Kaur was last seen by family around noon on Monday in the area of Maple Road and North Forest Road in Amherst. She was traveling to Canada with two young children, but police said she did not cross the border into Canada.

(I wonder why Amherst PD isn't giving a description of the children, not even their ages. At the bottom of the poster it says "The above is the only authorized information to be disseminated to the press." I don't recall ever seeing that on another poster.)

Very limited information. I wonder if they know, which Canadian border she was planning on crossing at. It might be somewhere in Ontario, but more definitive info would be helpful. Details and descriptions of the children would also be more helpful if LE want help in locating Kaur.

I wonder what was the reason she was travelling to Canada with her 2 children?

Vacation?
To see relatives?

No mention of a husband/partner. Was she perhaps trying to take the children and escape? Did he find her and stop her going?

Whatever the reason, 2 months is a long time for a big black SUV to be hidden, so I'm also wondering if water (a lake etc.) is involved. Or something mountainous/ravine as it's upstate NY.

I'm guessing LE must know that her bank account or emails haven't been touched.

Amherst, NY to the Canadian border crossing at Niagara is about 23 miles away, about 30 minutes drive.

Whatever the reason, 2 months is a long time to be missing with 2 young kids, and her big black SUV is missing too, so I'm also wondering if water is involved?

Did she even head north? What if she only TOLD people she was going to Canada as a ruse, and actually headed south?

Maybe an accident ? A ravine possibly? Upstate NY has plenty of mountainous land - the Adirondacks, the Catskills, and part of the Appalachians are there in NY....it is quite a big rural state.
