Police say Dilan Clark, 14, attacked his mother early Monday morning at their home in Constable.
Clark is being charged as an adult.

Dilan's sister had to call 911. She is also 14 years old. Their father/husband was away. After the attack Dilan waled over a mile and sat on a porch. he was given the usual psychological and physical tests and all was "normal". There's nothing normal about murdering your mom.

Dilan's sister was adopted at about 15-16 months old and Dilan was adopted at the age of either 5 or 6. Family, friends and students all are shocked.

A 15-year-old from Constable was sentenced to nine years to life in prison Monday morning by Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr. for the May 2011 murder of his adoptive mother.

Dilan Clark pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in April...

In April, his attorney, Steve Vanier, said Clark will remain in a juvenile detention facility until he turns 18 and will spend the rest of the sentence in state prison. He will be granted a year of time served and thus be eligible for parole around 2020.
