Oh, my. That’s quite an interesting bit of information.

I can’t figure out why anyone would take a 90 year old from their residence. You’d think if they wanted to kill her, they’d do it there, like the other deceased individual that they left there. It upsets me so much when the elderly are attacked. I wish this would end with her being found alive. JMO

“Police: Suspect in Utica homicide in custody; second woman, 90, still missing”

“UTICA — The man suspected of killing an elderly Utica woman Sunday remained in custody at a local hospital Monday as the search continued for another woman — his grandmother — who was missing from the same residence, Utica police said.

Police became aware of the homicide around 8 p.m. Sunday after police and firefighters responded to a car crash on Bleecker Street, said Sgt. Michael Curley of the Utica Police Department.

The driver, who police were not identifying as of Monday evening, crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole. When police tried to handcuff the man, he made comments that led the police to believe some people in the city were in danger, Curley said.

Investigators later responded to 1147 Tilden Ave. in Utica after learning the man lived there with his 90-year-old grandmother Katerine Aubain.

Upon entering the home, police found the body of an elderly woman that had been mutilated, Curley said.

[SBM]

During the investigation, Curley said, police learned of ‘significant forensic evidence’ found at Albany Street and Pond Lane that helped them identify the homicide victim as someone other than Aubain. Police had not released the woman's name as of Monday, however.

[SBM]

The man in custody is in a medically induced coma due to injuries, and is not in a medical state where he can be interviewed by police at this time, Curley said.

‘We have the individual who we believe has committed these acts in custody,’ Curley said. ‘Pending his physical health at the hospital, we expect charges to be filed in this case.’” (BBM)

I have been on Websleuths for several years, but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anything like it.

I don’t want the thread shut down, so I am not going to comment further, but ... I’m afraid that was Ms. Aubain.

I know it was supposedly sent to LE.
As for now, I’m going to pretend it’s a bad hoax, and stick to MSM. Man....

“UTICA, N.Y. - Utica police are searching for a missing woman in connection with a homicide investigation on Tilden Avenue, which was originally reported as a suspicious death.

Authorities say an 87-year-old landlord is dead, a man is hospitalized but in police custody, and his grandmother is currently missing.

[SBM]

Police say this all started Sunday night, when a 29-year-old man crashed his vehicle into a pole on Bleecker Street, and then was combative with responding firefighters. Police say the man involved in the crash, whom they are not yet identifying, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center where he is in intensive care.

Police say they have not been able to talk to him yet, but they do say at the crash scene he muttered to firefighters before falling unconscious that he had killed someone in Utica. That admission led officers to an apartment in a two-family home at the corner of Tilden Ave. and Albany Street, where the man was living with his elderly grandmother, Katerine Aubain.

[SBM]

Police say they did not find Aubain and are actively looking for her. A rather large search team of officers and canines gathered Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Buckley Pool in Utica, about a quarter of a mile from the crime scene.

They then searched the wooded area right behind that parking lot of Buckley Pool, but so far no sign of Aubain.

[SBM]

Police say they did find the body of the 87-year-old woman, who owns the two-story duplex, in her own downstairs apartment. We’re told her body was mutilated, and there was evidence of the crime located a half-mile away, near the intersection of Albany Street and Pond Lane.

The deceased 87-year-old woman’s name has not been released. A neighbor says she had owned that home for a very long time and had a dog grooming business in her home until she retired several years ago. That neighbor says the woman told him she only rented out the upstairs of the home about a year ago to that 90 year old woman whos is now missing because she didn't want to be alone.“ (BBM)

Delete. Sorry. I read that article. No need to see the comments. My husband is a first responder. I know firsthand the bizarre things they see and hear. It’s horrible. Prayers for the remaining family and the first responders who deal with this crap day in and day out. They can never unsee or unhear these things.

So sad, so senseless and so tragic.

A caring grandmother trying to help her troubled grandson, and her 87-year-old landlord, who probably thought she’d found the perfect tenant in the 90-year-old woman.

I hope they didn’t suffer.
