Laura Gossmann, 23, was murdered three days before Christmas in 1991. She just graduated from college and was working as a receptionist at a publishing house in Manhattan. She lived in a downstairs apartment in a 2-family house in the safe neighborhood of Woodside, Queens, with her parents living upstairs. She was found strangled, without identification or a wallet, but was not sexually assaulted. Police to this day do not know what happened.

ADMIN NOTE

If you have inside information about this case, you may not post it until you have been approved as a Verified Insider. That process is explained HERE.

Websleuths is a fact-based discussion board. We do not allow rumors. Anything you post MUST be substantiated by a direct link to that info in mainstream media (MSM) or by law enforcement (LE). If you can’t link it, you can’t post it.

IF you have inside knowledge of this case, and would like to share what you know here without substantiating links, you must be approved as a Verified Insider. Otherwise, anything you post, and any replies to it, is subject to removal.

Members who reply to UNverified insider posts will also have their posts removed. Responding to those initial violating posts results in a larger cleanup for moderators. PLEASE REPORT THOSE QUESTIONABLE POSTS INSTEAD. While we are all eager to learn what happened to Laura and bring her killer to justice, posting and discussing RUMORS is NOT in line with Websleuths philosophy and the Terms of Service we all agreed to when we joined. We do not want to dishonor victims and disrespect their loved ones by adding to the pain they have been enduring as a result of these crimes.

THANK YOU for caring about these folks!
