An elderly woman wandered into a Brooklyn police station claiming she can’t remember who she is or where she lives, police said Wednesday.
Police describe the woman as black with a thin build and gray hair. She was wearing a black head wrap, a multi-colored dress, black sandals and a black, white and yellow shirt.
The woman is missing her two front and lower teeth and speaks Creole, police said.

According to a post on the crime stoppers link, she was found within a day of going missing.

Her clothes are different and look fairly clean, so if it is her, perhaps she wandered away again? Poor lady. :(

Great job, Gardener!

Just called it in. The woman agreed it sounds promising. She said she will forward the information to the detective in charge.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thank you for calling! Hopefully she will be reunited with her family.

I was thinking the same thing so I posted the new article on the original crime stoppers post. She’s probably out of her element and takes to wandering the streets. :(

“Great news! Female has been identified and is in the process of being reunited with her family. Thank you for sharing this. ”

I haven’t been able to find anything as to her identity. Looking at my call history, I contacted Crime Stoppers at 9:53 am (I’m in the same time zone as NYC), and the tweet was posted at 10:33 am.

Regardless, I’m so happy to hear this wonderful news.

I will look into Rosemite’s case when I have a moment. Hopefully the FB poster was correct, and she has been found.

So great to read this! I hope her family or caretakers can keep her from wandering in the future. Alzheimer's is so heartbreaking. :( We probably won't get a name in order to protect her privacy but just knowing she is back with her family is enough for me.

The only information I was able to find indicating Rosermite has been found is the comment by GJ under a post about her disappearance on Long Island Crime Stoppers’ FB page from 10:29 pm on July 14th.

GJ posted a screenshot stating “R.E.A.C.H. Silver Alert ROSEMITE (sic), CHARLEME Reported Found, Today at 01:19, MISSING PERSON WAS LOCATED” at 2:07 am on July 15th. Source is unknown:
Long Island Crime Stoppers

Next, I looked on Nassau County, NY’s website. They posted about Rosermite’s disappearance on July 16th under “News Flash.” There are many missing persons cases posted in the same section, and whenever the person has been found, the site posts an update. Unfortunately, I do not see such update for Rosermite. If the woman who has been identified in the subject case were Rosermite, they probably would have posted about it, IMO.

Any thoughts on this, @Tricia?
