Could you tell me how Alves became involved in this discussion? I am familiar with him- I worked in state prison for many years- this guy is a stone cold killer- probably killed numerous young women. To the best of my knowledge he is out of prison- he was re incarcerated when he was mistakenly released early- oddly enough he was arrested in Clinton NJ - home ti NJ's only womens prison- he was in that area for a reason

LE just stated Shannan is not one of those 4 victims.

The Suffolk County Medical Examiner confirms that none of the remains found on a Long Island beach are Shannan Gilbert.

Meanwhile, the FBI offered its assistance with the investigation by Suffolk County authorities, who suspect they may be dealing with a serial killer.

Authorities obtained the DNA sample from Lorraine Ela and will ship it to New York in an effort to determine whether one of the bodies found is that of the woman's daughter, said Robert Moulton, chief of the Scarborough, Maine, Police Department.

I really didn't have time to do searches but came across these 2 missing females.

Marion McCleneghan-Sodo.40yo. Missing since 2/6/10. She lived in Brooklyn and was moving to Long Island after a argument she had with her BF. The next day she said goodbye to a store clerk and she was never seen since.

Another is missing from Bayshore, LI. 39yo. Missing 4/29/10. Jennider Lee Poole. She was last seen in her Bayshore apt at 4pm and was never seen since.

Admittedly I didn't read through the entire thread. However, I hope it's O.K. I brought the link over to the thread about the women murdered in Atlantic City. No doubt it's been posted, but thought I'd post again.

The POI from Atlantic City had been locked up. Pretty much I don't think it was him that murdered the women in AC. He did maintanance at the "hotel". He also had video taped a girlfriends underage DD I think in the shower. That I believe is how they brought him in. Obviously they don't have anything on him. Our Snackcakes just posted the other day on this about POI.

Associated Press update: they made an error stating Shannon was going to Fire Island to see her client.

Commissioner Richard Dormer said on Thursday that the woman had been headed to the private community of Oak Beach on Jones Island, which is west of Fire Island.

Do we know that LI bodies was found with no clothes? I was thinking that how they might had rule S. Gilbert out. I voting yes same killer IMO:waitasec:

true that bodies are dump in ditches... but not in goup of 4.

I was reading through too quickly yesterday and thought I saw an item that said the bodies were not clothed. I see now that fact has not been established.

Guess I also assumed nakedness since some were in burlap bags.

Just read that Shannon Gilbert is not one of the deceased.

Makes you wonder if this perp is like the one in Philly who kept the girls alive and imprisoned in his basement for awhile before killing them.

Prayers up for all the missing girls...that some will be found alive.

Here's an oddity...
4 bodies in NJ in a line.... like a series
4 years later....
4 bodies in NY in a line...

I have no idea if either set of 4 relates to the other. I just have the feeling if they are, this guy is going to be one of those heavy into that symbolism crap that reads like a fictional crime novel.

A piece of metal was embedded in her jaw. None of the skulls found had any metal in the jaw.
