Louis M. Martina, 42, of Gowanda, a registered sex offender, was sentenced Friday to state prison for raping a now 11-year-old girl late last year.
State Supreme Court Justice Ronald H. Tills imposed a 125-year prison term for Martina's July 20 jury convictions on first-degree rape, two child sex felonies and two misdemeanor counts for an incident in the residence of the girl's mother last year.

The judge - imposing a prison term he knew would be modified under state sentencing provisions, which limit maximum non-homicide sentences to 50 years - said he wanted to "give the parole board a message that you should never be able to come back into society." http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20051022/3001406.asp

Tills also ordered Martina to pay through prison wages $6,010 for court, DNA database, sex offender registration and other trial fees to be "collected over the years by the prison" where he will be housed.
