Suffolk County Police today arrested a Huntington man for threatening to shoot a child following his loss to the boy during a video game.

Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers initiated an investigation after an 11-year-old Kings Park boy reported receiving threatening text messages and online voice messages via Xbox from a man he recently beat during a game of Fortnite. In the messages, which were sent at approximately 9 p.m. on September 17, the man threatened to shoot the child, possibly at his school.

Officers arrested Michael Aliperti, 45, of 108 West Neck Road, at his home at approximately 1:40 a.m. and charged him with Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree and Acting in a Manner to Injure a Child. Aliperti was scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.

My nephew is 11 and he loves Fortnite. He would whip my rear-end playing it. Kids are that way.

Just ... wow. This man has some very serious issues, imo. Ridiculous!

Remember the memory game where you turned over card and matched them? All of my grandchildren hit their peak at that game when they were between three and five years old.
