NY - Man currently trying to climb the outside of Trump Tower

Fox announcers are a joke to begin with, they are basically the Walmart or McDonald's version of CNN announcers

I am not sure how this relates to the climber but the facts just doesn't support your assumption.

People watch the news channel where they believe the reporters/journalists are more trustworthy and CNN has never had the overall viewer ratings Fox News has had consistently for decades.

This also includes lower viewer ratings not only for CNN but NBC,ABC and MSNBC when compared to Fox. None of them have ever been able to capture the viewing audience Fox has consistently done.

Shep wasn't trying to give this guy a nickname. He said the local reporters on the ground there already had a nickname for him.

I never felt this guy was in any danger. It was obvious he was taking his time and knew what he was doing.

Glad LE grabbed him and ended his showboating though.

the FOX people i was referring to were the FOX people on the local news channel on the live feed i linked to.

they were in fact handling it like it was a big fun event, constantly making jokes and reading user tweets that were jokes, and they did give the guy a nickname and encouraged other people to get it trending.

NYPD arrests man who scaled Trump Tower with suction cups

The 19-year-old from Virginia was arrested and taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychological evaluation, according to a law enforcement official.

The NYPD does not plan to release the name of the man who scaled Trump Tower until charges are "dropped or filed," according to Sgt. Brendan Ryan.

The NYPD had originally said he was 20.

The man drove from Virginia to Brooklyn on Tuesday, according to two law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation.

He has been medically cleared, and is undergoing a psychological evaluation, according to the sources.

He is expected to face several state charges from the Manhattan District Attorney's office sometime overnight or Thursday morning, the sources said.
The New York Police Department is in touch with the man's family, the sources said.

BBM

I thought the report from CNN that I posted was pretty accurate? Why do you think that CNN is a joke?

Thanks ~

What bothers me tremendously is how any news network including CNN and many others use their reporters to try to sway public opinions to their own views.

I used to think major news networks job was to just report the news and not become part of the news or have other alterior motives.
It has become painfully obvious in last many years that some major news networks have directed their reporters to try to sway peoples opinions.

Which is sickening and immoral. The past few weeks when I flip to CNN to see if there is any breaking news I honestly can say that each time instead of seeing any news all I see is a reporter cutting down the other major candidate that that network doesn't like.
Not just them as most major networks in US are doing it and it is sad.

I used to even respect A. Cooper and used to think he was not that way until many specific examples of him doing the same as other reporters do. They obviously are encouraged by their management to do it. Because if they weren't then at least some of their reporters would have an opposing view but they all take the same view of their network. So I can only conclude that the management is directing them to be this way. Which is really sad.

Which is why I try to watch many different networks so I can try to get a fair picture of the news in society.

If you only stick with one network you are usually receiving a bias view from that network.

I would even watch the Al Jazeera network even before it was shut down. BBC network also does a pretty good job.

I think the bottom line is people will tend to gravitate to watching the network that agrees with their views. But if you watch a bunch of different networks with an open mind you will gain an appreciation of opposing views and realize just how bias the networks really are.

Hi Hatfield

I agree with what you are stating, I watch several different media outlets, as well to get a better perspective of situations.

However, I was directing my post to Elley Mae, who's post was in conflict with what I posted from CNN, which was very accurate, I was asking for the poster's opinion as to why they thought it was a joke?

I still enjoy watching Dr Drew and Nancy Grace on CNN, but that isn't my main network that I watch. Sometimes, I catch CNN doing breaking news when other stations are not. and again this is all just how I am thinking :)

Thanks ~
