how did they recover underwear and knife in a pocket if there was no torso?

The list says it's a pocket knife.

A pocket knife is a small knife, named because it's small enough to fit in a pocket.

A torso includes the buttocks or bottom so the underwear could be on the remains.

It’s so sad to even picture this, but I’m guessing they found a portion or all of the pelvis with leg(s) clothed only in underwear? Just speculation.
Someone else will have to speculate about how a pocketknife remained with the body because there’s no mention of clothing with pockets.

I was wondering where the knife was found. Maybe the knife broke off and was embedded in the remains ?

I also thought it was embedded in the remains. Been here too long...

No wait, it's so late here and I've been up all night, the details say the torso wasn't recovered so exactly what body parts were found.

"Inventory of Remains Head not recovered Torso not recovered One or more limbs not recovered One or both hands not recovered" What's left ?

The knife could have been embedded, but if the buttocks are part of a torso and there was no torse found, where did they find the underwear.

I give up, it's 6.34 am here and I'm going to try and get some sleep.

The ME must have messed up when putting the case onto NAMUS, They likely inputted missing limbs by accident or in a misunderstanding.

MOO.
